First off, I'd like to get the one true implementation of how this will work out of the way for all to see and then explain all of it afterward.
Make MCC's an item that is either manufactured or purchased by corporations/alliances.
Here's why:
If a Defender does not currently own an MCC or simply does not have one staged over a district and the attacker does not deploy one - than the game mode should default to Ambush/Ambush OMS.
In the event that the Attacker has an MCC deployed to the district but the Defender does not, the match should default to Skirmish 1.0
In the event that both sides possess an MCC that is on site, the match defaults to Skirmish 2.0
Now, obviously you're probably wondering: "What happens if the Defender has an MCC but the Attacker does not?"
Welp, looks like it's an option for a new game mode discussion friends. |

A defender MCC with no attack game mode could become an offshoot of Skirmish where victory for the Attackers comes from either clone depletion or MCC destruction, but for defenders can only come from clone depletion?
Eh, that doesn't sound too good actually. I'm sure someone else can come up with a better idea. |

Could make it to where the defenders have to seize control of or outright destroy an MCC killer turret. Sort of like a hybrid between skirmish 1.0 before the MCC starts moving and Domination. |

Players still part of NPC corporations shouldn't have any opinion on PC until they actively participate. |

I think Skirmish 1.0 can be possible in all of these scenarios. The MCCs provide precision strikes and a spawn point. If the MCCs aren't available, you can't use the precision strikes or the spawn point. |
