As the title suggests, CCP should really use the Skirmish 1.0 game mode that we had in closed beta as the game mode for PC battles. It actually makes more sense since we have an actual attacking force trying to take someone's district. Not only was this game mode the most fun, it fits perfectly with the scenario of having to defend your district from an attack. The defending team could choose where to place turrets and CRU's (in areas predesignated by CCP). Some may say that it would give too much advantage to the defender, but should n't the owner of the district have a slight advantage? It really makes no sense that someone who owns the district would leave no one there and only show up when an enemy chooses to attack them. I would think they would be in their installations waiting for the enemy instead of having to race them to see who can get to the letters first. |

Honestly, I've been meaning to make a thread about it, but I feel that districts should be able to be pre-viewed by the owner either by a top-down view of the map or actually loading the district and going down there without a fight taking place.
This would allow defenders of a district to know what they're getting into rather than being surprised with a map layout that they already own, allowing them to plan their defense accordingly while the attackers deal with the Fog of War.
However, I am 100% for the return of Skirmish 1.0 and feel that it should be utilized in PC. |

Of all the game modes that CCP has made for Dust, nothing yet has come close to Skirmish 1.0. CCP you need to bring this back ASAP. It would definitely breathe new life into the game and it works perfectly for Planetary Conquest matches |

We should be able to do it outside of PC, perhaps in Faction Wars as well? Limiting the mode to PC will limit the amount of people who will be able to experience it, which, if what I've heard about Skirmish 1.0 is true, would be unfortunate. |

Yes they should definitely add it to the instant battle rotation as well as PC. It would give everyone a chance to get familiar with how a PC battle would work so they are not quite as lost when they do venture into PC |

I THINK they said that skirmish 1.0 would be the new PC. I can't give you a link but I think it was in the planetary conquest video at FanFest, during the questions sections. |

That is good to hear. Hopefully CCP can confirm that they will be implementing this. |

Hopefully CCP can confirm that they will be implementing this. I mean, if you'll notice on the loading screen with the map icon legend, the Command Node icon has been there for quite a while. For those who weren't here, that was the icon on the map that indicated the "defense relays" you had to take out to progress to the next stage of Skirmish.
To me, that would say that this mode isn't gone forever. |
