With the removal of possible 20% PG, it is basically impossible to fit vehicles with standard gear. Turrets on Tanks use up about 1/2 their PG. Trying to add in a Plate/Extender + Large Repairer/Booster is impossible without burning up a slot for PG modules or just using LAV modules. For dropships, it is even worse. It is impossible to fit armor plating, any armor plating, on a dropship. Dropship plating is already the smallest so it is not like you can downgrade like you can with Tanks.
It is not like my Madruggar is trying to throw in Prototype weapons. I could understand needing a powergrid module to use Prototype weapons but needing one to just use basic HAV modules is unfair. Imagine the outcry if a Basic dropsuit couldn't fit basic gear into it without adding a 10-15% PG enhancer. No one would consider that fair.
How is that fair for Vehicles? If the current PG costs of vehicular modules is due to what a Tank's PG was before the change, it seems that it is way too high. I would request either reintroducing a skill that increases Powergrid by more than Vehicle Upgrade's laughable 5% or reducing the PG requirement for modules. Considering Assault Dropships need 3 turrets before they can even be called in, I cannot imagine how people fit them even remotely decently.

AV vs HAV seriously needs to be reworked. You only need ~100k SP and a few thousand isk to take out player with millions of SP invested in an HAV that's over 100 times more isk more than their fitting. Nerfing the power grid only adds insult to injury. |

I'd also like to add that weapons get fitting optimization skills that reduce PG costs. How is that fair if we can't reduce the PG costs of our turrets as well?
DUST has a bare minimum of skills, while EVE has hundreds of skills. EVE capsuleers are able to reduce both CPU and PG needs of their turrets. There are even skills that increase turret tracking, optimal range, and falloff. But with the removal of the sharpshooter skill for infantry, then I could care less for optimal range and falloff skills, but a skill that can increase turret tracking would be nice. |

I remember seeing a post that CCP was looking into this. Has there been any new information or is it a "we are looking to integrate the markets" kind of thing? |

I believe the last time I saw them say that was when the Engineering skill had the "wrong" description. I am extremely doubtful that they are considering bringing the old Engineering back. It seems that they are refusing to look into something that clearly needs fixing while they tend to other stuff that might not need as much fixing. |
