I drive Charybdis and it took a lot of SP, to OP ppl will want free LAV to get around the HUGE maps we have here. AV nades are your friend.
I like how the LAV does not stop dead when i run down foolish mercs that play in the middle of the road since uprising.
Get your AV fits, as most LAV's are squishy. One Swarm or Two AV nades and they are toast.

My armor logi lav is awesome 4 av nades and 2 cbr7 swarms got it to 500 and I survived. Looking for people who want to gun, proto turret coolant pump and tracking comp ready to go. |

Unless you are shooting a level 5 LAV, I believe you are mistaken. I have no trouble getting blown up in a free LAV. However the Top Tier LAV's, which require a ton of SP to unlock, are considerably tougher.
RESULTS of my super scientific testings:
Free Gallente LAV - **2 AV nades or 1.5 swarms. (1.5 because of modules) (militia modules)
Caldari Charybdis LAV - **6 AV nades or 4 Swarms. (all militia modules)
If someone has invested more SP for vehicle modules, then they should reap the benefits
** of course i was driving around, i didn't just park up and let them shoot me, so of course I may have repaired a little, but for the most part I simply approached the enemy and presented opportunities for them to get me.
For the record the Proto Swarms have more missiles in each swarm -- they hurt Way more. Lone Wolves can't perform AV role, so buddy up with someone and gang on vehicles. Sorry if I am teaching you how to suck eggs, but there are pages here, so maybe people are forgetting in Dust we have the AV class, if you use it.

Had to take a break from Death race.. So my average is 8 kills per race so far.
Gbghb took me to task on the last race and Dadric Reaven right behind him.
But all together we are averaging 30 LAV kills a race

Oh they have that, after like 4 or 5 min all of them clump on top of buildings and don't run out in the open. Which worked fine for me in skirmish so our guys could cap the points |

Off topic, sort of, but one of my most satisfying sniper kills was hitting a guy on top of a tall building (those with pipes running into the middle of the map) and following his fall to the ground through the scope.
