I am beginning to think that CCP are initiating some intriguing false flag events, although it is at this point uncertain as to what they are researching; I would take a guess and say it is to do with marketing schemes.
5/14 - all BPOs announced to NOT be refunded because of some mass-buyers. Yes you saw what I typed, 'mass buyers' who would sell it repetitively for the slight increase in AUR from when it was cheap. I could think off the top of my head 5 ways to solve this issue, yet CCP use it as an excuse NOT to refund our BPOs which we bought an odd 5 months ago? Well I think the 'mass buyers' was a false-flag indicator and an excuse for CCP to SCAM us.
5/27-28 - CCP initiates a full SP refund, and along side LO AND BEHOLD: what do we get? Some random ISK. Some people believe it was the work of God himself, but all along some people received an odd 100 million ISK which made them all obscenely rich, corrupting people into mass-buying.
5/30 - and finally the true goal of the sudden ISK gain comes into view. A week earlier no one would have predicted where people would be on the richter scale of poverty, no one. But as we can see, CCP once again 'filtered out' the greedy and ignorant who thought they could take advantage of ISK fluctuations and money spurts.
5/31 - after such anticipation to this event, lo and behold: it is postponed. After gathering our hopes up the event is suddenly postponed. Personally I think this is CCP monitoring the forum and Dust 514 activity levels prior to a major event, in order to forward future marketing schemes, all for profit.
All of this evidence points to one thing: false flag mistakes. They are deliberately making obviously fixable mistakes in order to manipulate us. Perhaps for market research, perhaps to attract more customers. It is at this point irrelevant, but what happened clearly happened for a reason. We are the victims of a system, we are all playing part in CCP's game, where we are mice and they are constantly manipulating the surrounding environment. At this point I would like to remind you of THIS. Does this experiment not remind you of what CCP just did with the ISK thing? Only they PUNISHED the people who took the extra ISK and used it for their own good.
This is a science lab, a market testing field ground. Dust 514 isn't a proper game, it is a training ground for CCP to experiment with market research using psychological efforts. And where this is all leading is at this point unknown but we will see soon. I will remind you of this again upon the next false flag event, but until then, cheerio! |

IMO, DUST is either still in the infant phase and trying to learn to crawl then eventually walk and run, or DUST simply isn't coming to fruition the way they hoped and is on its deathbed. |

I don't recall ever answering to anything written by you but if you ever made another wildly imaginary claim like this before, it's possible i said something similar.

Perception is everything.
The fact that this believable (and possibly true) is serious. I agree with op. Im pretty sure I was promised an autumn refund upon commercial release. A full account reset to achieve it is unacceptable. As for the whole isk fasco: if a bank teller gives you too much money they don't hunt you down or credit your account they fire the teller. As I do like a cop three strike rule hoping that the templar postponement is to add more templars based on feedback.
Also I hope CCP takes notice because new players who come to the forums are going to see a lot of negative feedback (and rightly so) which very well may deter them from continuing to play.

I am not on the level with these ridiculous conspiracy theories about terrorists, controlled demolition and so on.
This is a marketing conspiracy, and terrorism and control has reached a level which it should NEVER HAVE. Just look at what CCP are able to do.
Imagine you were the Met Office or a weather channel and you predicted the weather slightly differently, IMAGINE THE EFFECT that would have on the economy. Social studies have already shown that when the weather reporters say that the temperature will reach 20'c, purchases for BBQ equipment increase by 130%, burgers sell 20% better and LOTS OF OTHER STUFF.
We are living in a very complex world right now, there is a turmoil of control through corporations. We the people need to take BACK the power that global corporations now HAVE. And guess what, CCP IS ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Umm no if a teller gives 120 when you ask for 100, it is a bank error in your favor (unintentional monoply reference). They can ask for it back but cannot just take it. |

i don't think you know what "false flag" means.
a false flag operation is one where you pretend to be your enemy and do something obvious in order for the public to believe it was your enemy who did it.
an example of a false flag operation is when the a government sends in operatives to dress up like protesters and they start acting violent. the public thinks the protesters are violent and approve of the government cracking down on them.
your conspiracy seems to be about Dust514 devs doing stuff on purpose but acting like it was an accident. that is not the same thing. |

That is what false flag meant like 3 decades ago.
It now is a general term for deceptive events which aren't true to their word, designed to manipulate the public opinion. |

First off ISK as of now is worthless for 99% of game play.....how can they get market research when there is no market? How can they manipulate anyone with paper carrots?
Second, are you seriously saying malevolence trumps incompetence in a discussion about CCP and Dust?
Really?
Not only should incompetence figure in as your first choice but it should fill in choices two through one thousand...how malevolence somehow trumped the thousand other more reasonable explanations is tantamount to being a crazy drooling dim whit. |

The market is also the OUTSIDE market in the real world.
The fact that they for whatever the actual reason was, didn't hand out BPO refunds, strongly suggests that they are monitoring the target audience reaction to outrageous crimes like that. |
