Anyways, I was playing a bit of Domination and decided to bring out my secret weapon. Thale TAR Sniper. I can hear people starting to fume. I feel your pain. Back to the situation, here's the thing... I feel as though MCC sniping is really OP. But there are a lot of other things that are OP, so why can't a sniper have one too. Calm down. For the people that hate snipers, and absolutely despise MCC snipers, I'm kinda on your side. I don't like OP, even when I'm using it. For all of you that don't know how bad it is, well, I'll show you. K-2 nanohive, 3 armor extenders, 1 armor repairer, 3 enhanced weapon upgrades, gallente medium pro basic. Thale TAR Sniper. My Sniper Domination Score These opponents stood still for the longest of times, (except for davie bird, which I must commend for being such a tank and taking my bullets like they were nothing.) so they must have been newbs. That's no excuse, I know. So, yep. For those who can't see the pictures, here's my score. Kill/Death = 50/0 6 headshots 577,000 isk 7,000 sp 2500 wp

Funny. I totally agree with you. I cringe at the thought of the people I shot now knowing where I was and how I could kill them in a single shot. FPS gaming should be more... I don't know the word. See, what I'm having trouble understanding is why they didn't see me and start setting up sniper posts. That's one thing about DUST. Move your cursor around the screen and a person name with pop up somewhere. Aren't snipers supposed to be stealthy? It shouldn't be that easy to find a sniper. Otherwise, yeah. MCC sniping is is OP, but like the Tac rifle, I have to keep going back to it. It's a habit now.

CCP=Epic Fail. Yeah, It's not really cool at all. The only up side to it is that you can counter snipe still. Even though they're in the MCC, you can still snipe them. That's pretty much the only thing that can get rid of them.

I'm so glad that someone realizes it's not just the game or OP. For a sniper to be that good shooting out of the same spot in 15 minutes and getting that many kills, it takes a lot of skill. Thank you. I wish I could play PC battles, but my corp doesn't have much firepower to take a district yet, so we'll keep waiting until the big corporations die down and the star map expands. All I can do now is assist anyone that wants help in battles like those. I'm a good mercenary who works for anyone, for free! Look me up!

They didn't fail, they just broke the game. I remember that before the release, you couldn't shoot through the MCC drop shield. That was totally fair. Wat the hell happened that made CCP remove that shield? I have no idea. The shield is still there, it just doesn't deflect shots. They never really discussed that, did they? There should be a topic on that noticed by CCP.

I just don't feel accustomed to them anymore. All I want to use is my trusty kalaakiota and on occasion my Thale. As for MCC sniping, It is OP, and may be kinda newbish, but like the other person said. It's pretty easy to figure out that there are snipers up there. However, when using a Thale... It's a one hit KO kinda thing, so they never know where I am. That's why I'm sorry for everyone I shoot. They'll think that the game killed them, not me.

I have known about shooting from on top of the MCC but had not heard that the shield no longer blocked shots from inside the MCC. I was shooting from the inside.
