I think you should put a little more emphasis, although it is a good idea. It could create some interesting concepts, such as a Shock Soldier, throwing a smoke grenade in, before wiping out the entire room while their blinded. Of course, there will have to be some kind of way to avoid it, else it gets to be listed under OP...
Maybe add a Module or Skill that will reduces the effect of the grenade to your sensors/view? |

Use the smoke grenade for masking friendly movement, or smoke grenade canisters for tanks as counter measures.
I would like to see concussion grenades used in CQC for entries into urban enviornments |

Alongside smoke grenades, we need Radiostatic Burst grenades. Something that completely messes up enemy radars on the minimap for a while. Combining them would be a great way to force your enemy to fight blind and give you the upper hand, strategically. |

I know this post is already on the verge of being swept away in the current, but I'd like to revive the request for non-lethal grenades. I understand that rendering multiple smoke textures across 32+ clients and the server will be intensive on CPU resources and bandwidth, but the need is definitely there. Maneuvering across open-terrain is definitely dangerous without cover, so why not let us make our own? Vehicles are the best option, but we need something less expensive and can deployed as the situation dictates.
Alternatively, it doesn't even have to be smoke grenades. OMS smokescreens or focused EMPs to disrupt enemy tech that the squad leader can call in would definitely make the gameplay more dynamic. Just throwing the idea out there! |
