But if you see us heading off alone, guess what it's cause we are soloing! last match had a whole pack of 5 new grapes ******* following me the whole match. We weren't even in a squad. I'll head to flank, and hey I got a "tail" Ok, maybe they are flanking too? I'll head other way...... they following me?! EDIT: It's common in FPS games when playing with randoms to get "elected" leader. But don't elect the scout or sniper...

Instead of posting this as a rant, you could have posted it as a tip for new players in Rookie Training Grounds. Just try to think of that next time you feel like ranting: "Can I turn this into a way to help new players?"

No. because they are not allowing me to sneak to open other objective to lighten the load. So as they lose the first 1/2 objectives in the beginning, they get bottle neck. This is a team game, go play COD. He would've helped the team by distracting the enemy. If the guys following would've flanked from a dif direction, the scout can get them from behind while the enemy is getting flanked too. It's a team game but that doesn't mean a solo role such as scout or sniper doesn't help.

Freeing up more blues to go on and hack or kill. what do I do for my team directly? Remove enemy cru. and drop uplinks. Oh.. and protect the ladies. Hi girls.

Possible solution if there is a supply depot nearby is switch to cheap suit and run for the enemy. If not possible then call in a LAV. You will have 2 players with but drive somewhere get out a wander off. Most won't be able to resist driving off. If that doesn't work then you may want to talk to them because it sounds like they really want to play as a team or just grief you because you are a sniper. Final solution would be to speed tank. No way will a noob be able to keep up with you and in the 15 secs it would take to bring a LAV you would have disappeared. If they do keep up then they are not noobs. Hope it doesn't happen to often as I have been saved by the odd decent sniper in my time playing Dust of course it is also fun hunting down snipers as well.

Sorry dude, I have heard and played with to many people that want to go solo, that are not good at it, and then as soon as they get shot they are b&^%$#%& because their team sucks and they never revive or they go off their own way. That was not directed at you per se, just aggravated at people that want it both ways because they are not good at the game. Once again, I apologize.

I've seen my fare share "COD" soloing myself. Just going off solo to kill with out any real tactics behind it.

There are some players that tend to be a hindrance primarily because they can bring unwanted attention to the enemy. Case in point: Let's say you have a very low profile and want to be able to sneak up on the enemy. That random blue dot who is following you might try to fire off at those target before you get there and thus cause them to turn around right when you don't want them to. Another reason would be that the player following you may not have sufficient profile dampening and might be too easy to spot by the enemy. Using team chat works but not all the time considering there are players who don't even bother to listen. Thankfully I'm fast enough to just leave them behind.

TBH, I think Scouts would be one of the better choices for a "Leader" after all, aren't they usually at the front of the squad way behind enemy lines? No better person to lead you than the person who'll get there first anyway.
