There are issues.
Some of the issues are pretty severe.
I'm a fan of the game, I've been following it a long time, and was in closed beta back when Small Missile Turrets could fire beyond draw distance and instakill Heavies with splash damage. That doesn't mean it's perfect. It's fun, but it still needs work. There are a lot of aspects of the game which were better in previous builds than they are now. I DON'T think most of those areas where CCP made mistakes are severe enough to trade backwards on, but there are some key elements which I really hope they DO reverse. |

Sounds like someone is said their OP turrets got taken crom them. Welcome to New Eden. Adapt or die! QQ moar. LOL.
No.
I'm glad they nerfed the turrets. At first, they over-nerfed Missiles, and now they've fixed them to actually be fair and fun to both use and fight against. That wasn't my complaint at all, and I'm surprised you actually thought it was.
I'm enjoying the game and it's definitely MUCH better now than it was back then.
But I have issues with acceleration on my controller when I can't turn it off, and I have MAJOR issues with acceleration being applied to mouse control. I'm also frustrated by my aim being thrown off in CQC unless I turn aim assist on because the controls are crazy and make no sense. I don't particularly understand why LAVs got a 60% HP buff and semi-decent LLAVs are now less likely to die in a match than the best HAV fittings. Dropships getting no buff when everyone could see they were already overly-fragile and other vehicles were getting more HP is similarly baffling to me. Adding a great alternative control scheme to LAVs and not allowing the same controls for HAVs is a point where maybe they could have gone a bit further on adding new things. Reducing FOV was a terrible decision, and I really strongly dislike the loss of visibility, and don't think the graphical improvements are worth it (although in combination with framerate... maybe, if that was really the only way to improve it). While not a new problem for Uprising, CCP are still yet to make any helpful changes to the spawn system to make it actually work as intended, so players are still being preferentially spawned into the middle of spawn-camped areas just because there will be teammates nearby and somehow that matters more than the entire enemy team also being in the area. |
