When the pilot, commando, grenadier, and other specializations come in the future, players who choose those specializations will likely complain because they feel they don't have a real basic frames that represent their role. It will be the same issue we have with the logistics specialization right now, but times 3. Just a thought I felt like sharing for some reason. |

Not logistics specialization, Caldari logistics specialization. Please get it right. The other logi suits are perfectly fine. |

I'm not complaining about logi suits, I'm saying other specialization coming in the future will have the same issue of not having a representative basic frame, an issue that logi players frequently complain about. |

Well, the Basic Frames aren't really meant to represent anything. They're just generic starting points of each weight class that don't really have any defining attributes. |

I wasn't saying they should, I was making a prediction that players will complain about it, and actually they do represent some while not representing others, example: medium basic is basically an assault with a few differences, same for basic heavy and sentinel, as well as basic light and scout. It makes it easy for those specializations (sentinel, assault, scout) to sort of test drive their roles with basic frames while other specializations never can't. |

So the real problem is that Assault suits aren't different enough from basic frames. |

Honestly, I think it'd be nice if they had more generalized bonuses of their own that could stack on top of the higher level suits.
Maybe instead of two bonuses to Specialist suits, you get one for them and one for the basic frame, and then the two complement each other?

EDIT: I don't know why I asked, you clearly didn't read the OP. I read the OP, and I read your other thread in feedback about how logis shouldn't have more slots than assaults. You, like everyone else who doesn't have experience playing the logistics class generalize the entire class as a whole as being the problem. I've been saying since day 1 that it's the Caldari's racial bonus that makes that one suit OP, but thanks to generalization, I'm getting hatemail for being a Minmatar logi, which outside of losing 55 shields has been relatively unchanged since E3. Please don't generalize one class as an issue. That's the equivalent of someone thinking the entire AR weapon line is OP when the TAR is the issue.

I don't appreciate your assumptions, you have no idea what I actually play as. Before uprising I was logi, now I have yet to specialize into anything and mostly testing things with various alts.
You really don't need to be so hostile, why can't we just get along? I rather be friends, and I rather stay on topic. |

You really don't need to be so hostile, why can't we just get along? I rather be friends, and I rather stay on topic. Sir, I have no ill will towards you. If I did, you would definitely know. As far as the topic, we're discussing complaints about specializations. Whether it's past, present or future, people are going to complain. I apologize for making an assumption that you know nothing about the logistics class, but your OP on both topics gave the impression of otherwise. But, as of right now, one of the biggest issues in my eyes is generalization. This isn't just with suits but all the game mechanics in this game or any game. People complain about things they lose to repeatedly because they don't take the time to understand said game mechanic. In this case, different suit specializations. Whether it's a grenadier suit like you mentioned previously or something else, people are going to complain regardless. It's part of the human condition and can't be prevented. But a lot of this can be circumvented by giving information. In this case, I'm informing you that there's nothing wrong with the logistics class, it's one suit's racial bonus that's overpowered compared to the other variants because your generalization isn't helping. If my posts do indicate any irritation, it's because I've been arguing over this problem since the 6th and after finding a niche that holds my faltering interest in this game, I don't want it to succumb to forum warrioring like everything else has fallen to in the past. |

As would I, and it would probably get people to stop asking for their basic frame skill to be reverted to 3 since there's no purpose for the skill other than to act as a barrier to specialist gear. |

Agreed, basic frames should have a high number of slots but be limited in PG/CPU.
The basic mediums for example should have two eq slots along with a nice set for hight/low slots but such low fitiing attributes that one cannot properly use all high/low slots if he wants the eq and wice versa simply because PG/CPU won't allow for it.
This will also allow basic frames to be used for viable hybrid classes that fit both playstyles but won't surpass the specialized suits in either role.
It's a shame that an entire category of suits is just a little worse for one role and entirely useless for the other so no one has a reason to use them as soon as specilizations become available. |
