Well, the Basic Frames aren't really meant to represent anything. They're just generic starting points of each weight class that don't really have any defining attributes.

I wasn't saying they should, I was making a prediction that players will complain about it, and actually they do represent some while not representing others, example: medium basic is basically an assault with a few differences, same for basic heavy and sentinel, as well as basic light and scout. It makes it easy for those specializations (sentinel, assault, scout) to sort of test drive their roles with basic frames while other specializations never can't.

Honestly, I think it'd be nice if they had more generalized bonuses of their own that could stack on top of the higher level suits. Maybe instead of two bonuses to Specialist suits, you get one for them and one for the basic frame, and then the two complement each other? inb4 complaints of grind
