I counted the high and low slots for each prototype logistics dropsuits and compared to the assault counterparts. With the exception of the Amarr logistics, all the logistics suits have 1 more high or low slot than their assault counterpart. This means that the logis are more adept at tanking for combat then the assaults. If anything, the assault version should have more high/low slots than the logis for better tanking since they are a combat role. |

Logis are meant to be optimized for support and carrying equipment. The assault is meant to be great at combat. More highs/lows mean better for combat. At the very least the assaults should have just as many high/low slots. |

Logis are actually harder to build they get no basic dropsuit meaning they have to spend large amounts of sp on specialized dropsuits. Proto equipment is a huge sp sink and those extra high and low slots mostly go towards cpu and pg enhancers. They get less base attributes and shield and armor. They also get no side arm it puts them in their place with assaults which are easier to fit because they have no equipment. |

Take it away but give me a sidearm and increase my speed. We have 1 more slot, you have higher base EHP. Anything we can put in that extra slot you guys have built in your Assault suit already, unless I decide to stick a Complex Armor plate into my extra slot, which is stupid, there really isn't much I can put in there that will make me superior, aside from the CaLogi who can use that extra slot for damage modifiers. |

And our survivability (thanks to all of those high and low slots) makes our role relevant on the battlefield. Logi bros are already sacrificing their KDR to perform their support role. The last thing we need is to further aid the dominance enjoyed by assault players in this game by nerfing the logi suits. |

*sigh* (here we go again)
A dropsuit's capabilities are determined by their base stats and slot allocation in regards of their race. If you look closely, the logistcs suits are actually inferior to their assault counterparts, usually base HP, movement speed, sprint speed and stamina. They also lose a sidearm slot (except the proto Amarr) too. Their role is actually determined through their equipment over other class's base stats rolled for their respective role. Those extra slots and boosts to CPU/PG make them more relaint on modules to match the capabilities of other suits. If you want more slots, you have to endure lower base stats and pay more through each fitting. Also, that sidearm slot has to go too...
I actually made a full stat comparison of all the logis and their racial assault counterpart to prove this. The only thing that does stand out is the Caldari logi's racial bonus of 5% shield module efficiency per level which does make them overpowered. The other logis are fine as is, but the Caldari's bonus needs to be toned down to 2~5% per level to bring it down to the standards of the other suits.
Assault suits could use better bonuses to make them more attractive but that's a different topic for a different day. |

LogiBro has a good thread about augmenting the assault bonuses. It's definitely worth reading if you haven't yet checked it out. I personally don't have a problem with the number of highs and lows for logis. If someone wants to tank their logi I'm ok with that. The problem is the logi does the assault role too well. Assaults are not as combat oriented as they should be. |

Glad someone appreciates it. I've been campaigning against this whole logi gate thing since day 1, and I'm thinking of respecing into assault just to avoid the drama. This nerf witch hunt is one of the things that's killing this game at its core and people are too stubborn to realize it. Also, thanks for quoting me. I noticed an oversight in my post. I meant to say reduce the Caldari's racial bonus to 2~3% for balance.
Kind of off topic, but do you get a lot of hatemail too? I've been a Minmatar logi since Replication and now I find myself getting more hatemail for being a logi than I used to for using a MD. It makes me miss the old days when people used to just cry about heavies and tanks. |

I get complements from my teamates but never had anybody send me hatemail. I was a Logi in beta up to the Uprising respec, then I switched to assault because I thought they still had 2 equipment slots then went back to Logistics this respec, it just doesn't feel right when you watch your teammates die and can't do anything. I am trying to campaign for a nerf to the CaLogi but not for all of the Logis. Aside from myself I rarely ever see Gallente logistics or any other race except Caldari. |

The module slots are can provide combat role bonuses of course, but being a flexible support unit is also about those slots. Hacking modules, dampeners, precision enchancers, range amplifiers. Support equipment isn't just injectors/reppers either. Those equipment slots also go to specialized bits like scanners, droplinks, demolitions, and nanohives. All that equipment can build a huge PG/CPU deficit, which is why logis also use those slots for PG and CPU upgrades.
The extra slots make sense. The appeal of the assault suits themselves and the passives they were given is less.... thought out. |

ok lets do some math here logis also have to buy/spec into equipment unlike assaults so we truly have less to work with because of equipment spec sp useage so i feel it is a good thing we have more slots because we need them with alot of our sp going into equipment skills the slot are to make use atleast viable to combat so we dont die so fast |

I wouldn't mind Logis keeping the slots. I think they should "ONLY" have a sidearm though. Though I would like to see the Mass Driver as a sidearm weapon.
Even modern weapons have underbarrel grenade launchers. |
