So, you honestly thought that they were just going to give back all the ISK that you had spent on consumables to date, in addition to what you spent on Skill Books?
So, basically, you thought that everything that you'd spent ISK on up until now would have essentially been free, and that didn't seem just a little bit ... generous?
It never once occurred to you that, taken in the context of a SKILL RESPEC, that they were probably referring specifically to ONLY the ISK spent to obtain the SKILLS that were being respecced?
No offence but, to me at least, this just seems that you were being either incredibly naive, or intentionally ignorant. |

No actually I just don't give a ****, but you're welcome to your opinion. I actually just thought it had to do with the fact that dropships are a joke, and they were going to give us a hand. Silly me, they haven't done that once in over a year, why start now, right CCP? I'm -100 million ISK and will STILL have more ISK than most of the nubs that play this game in no time, not worried in the least. I just find it hilarious. Watching this train wreck for a year now has been painfully amusing. Also, we literally just came off of a respec where they removed assets and refunded ISK, so don't even play stupid with me.
Apparently, I'm not the one playing stupid. I got my requested skill respec on Tuesday and, once I had reallocated my skill points, I had an excessive amount of ISK left over.
NOT being stupid, I realized that there was no possible way that the refunded Skill Books could possibly account for all that extra cash, so I did the NOT-stupid thing, and didn't spend it.
What I find hilarious is all the people who did "play stupid" by thinking they could take advantage of this obviously erroneous winfall, and got burned for it. |

Dude. I've been playing for a year. I have played every single play style (except LRs and the new weapons), fairly extensively at that. Trust me bro. I have NO desire to do anything other than slaughter noobs anymore. I AM proud of it, I made my decision fully aware of the consequences, just because most couldn't easily pull themselves out of the pit doesn't mean I can't. ^_^
So wait, were you misinformed by a poorly worded email, and thought that the extra ISK was legit (as you previously claimed), or did you KNOW it was an error all along, and knowingly took advantage of the situation, fully aware of the consequences, like you're claiming now?
Either way, I'd say that your actions in this situation are nothing to be proud of. |

Either way, I'd say that your actions in this situation are nothing to be proud of. If you're fully specced into one role, why not? It's like a loan from CCP. I like that it'll be a couple months before I even consider looking at the marketplace.
Does this not seem just a little unfair to the honest and/or new players who DIDN'T exploit the situation? It's bad enough that the Beta vets didn't get reset at launch, providing them an immediate advantage over the influx of new players, but now many of these same vets have stockpiled a ton of the best gear, essentially removing any short-term risk for using that same gear, further compounding that advantage!
How can noobs expect to survive and compete against more experienced players who now have a seemingly endless supply of the best gear money can buy?
Maybe the rest of us should submit a ticket to CCP Support, and ask for a 100 million ISK advance on our next three months of gaming?
Apparently the Bank of Dust is now giving out interest-free loans! No job? No credit? NO PROBLEM! |

You're just full of excuses, aren't you?
"It was a misleading email! No, I knew it was an error all along and spent the money anyway! No, it's compensation for Dropships (but, apparently, only given to certain, randomly chosen people)! Yeah, that's it!"
Just admit that you saw an opportunity to scam the system, and took advantage of it.
If nothing else, at least I could respect your honesty, then. |

It was a misleading email. When you say ALL ISK will be refunded, one tends to think that ALL ISK will be refunded, especially when you sign on to see that ALL your ISK was refunded I didn't know it was an error all along, I just know how CCP operates, and prepared for the worst It is compensation for Dropships, as indicated by the email that says ALL my ISK will be refunded. Questions?
You saw an opportunity to scam the system, took advantage of it, and now you're making excuses to justify your behaviour.
Got it. |
