I run light frames/scout suits and a scrambler rifle. This often dictates a shoot-and-hide playstyle, since my scrambler rifle works a lot slower on armor and I get killed quickly if I wait for people to shoot back. So, I typically end up with 2, 3 or even 4 times as many assists as kills.
Now, I'm fine with preparing the ground for my teammates - I'm happy for them getting easier kills after I've taken down the enemy's shield. But it would be really nice to get some visible credit for it. A Kills/Assists/Deaths listing of 8/22/8 looks so much better than the meh-ness of Kills/Deaths 8/8.
So pretty please with sugar on top: include it in the killboard. There is ample room for it, and you're already listing it in the personal stats screen, so it shouldn't be hard to implement. |

I almost always get assist instead of kills, it doesn't bother me because I'm just having fun. Its just a game, don't let being low on the killboard affect your ego. Try looking at WP instead of K/D
Of course I don't need a game to validate my ego. My self esteem is just fine regardless of how many kills I get in Dust or any other game. However, I play this game for fun, like you, and part of that fun - for me - is trying to do my best. Both for my team and me personally. The killboard is there to show how the battle went, ranking players according to their contribution. The K/D numbers detail that ranking somewhat. K/A/D numbers would detail it some more and hint at each player's play style.
It would be a simple addition that wouldn't get in the way of anyone else's fun. I must admit I struggle to understand why you have a problem with it.
As for "being low on the killboard": I'm usually in a decent to good spot - after all, it's not ranked by K/D ratio, but by WP. |

Oh, I'd like all of that, too, but figured the assist stat was an easy-to-achieve objective, given that the stat is already available in the end-of-game set of tabs and wouldn't require any redesign of the layout of the killboard. |
