Be the first AAA f2p mmofps that integrates with an already existing mmo to go back to beta!
This game isn't ready.
The game modes are half thought out.
Planetary Conquest feels tacked on.
There is no real interaction between Dust and Eve
Core mechanics are sub-par
Key Content is missing (racial suits/weapons)
Seriously, I can't for the life of me think of any reason why the developers would release this game... without pressure for either the producer or Sony. I know releasing on the 14th lined up perfectly with the 10th anniversary thing, and it's all romantic and whatnot, but come on guys! You're rate of productivity with patches and the like isn't enough to make up for a bad launch like other titles have tried (and failed) to do.
Remember, you are CCP. You don't march to the beat of industry standards. You do things your own way, and it works in the long run. So, go back to beta. I bet you were making a LOT of money off of beta anyways. |

and maybe hire a new lead director so the game can finally have a sense of purpose and direction, instead of one big, unattainable idea and lots of tacked on content that kinda builds towards that idea maybe. |

They wanted to release it because of the date, and the name of the game having the same numbers. They could have waited until next years 5/14. |

The biggest oversight was adding PC, one of the core features of the game, AFTER beta.
It costs 80 million isk to buy a clone pack and the system was full of bugs and design flaws. That's not ok :/ That's what the beta is for, so all of that isk is spent one in a beta round, and then it gets reset but it launches smooth.

in skill progression I feel held back and playing more of a waiting game then a skill/role progression game which is saddening for a game which holds that as a high feature. they keep adding a lot of infantry stuff which I`m actually glad for but are holding back to much on us vehicle guys and not taking much of our balancing suggestions, all we got was another "in the near future, 1-12 months" not a statement that motivates me to keep playing, please CCP speed up the release of racial variants of what we have now.
also please read my "a pilots detailed thoughts of uprising 1.1 (detailed)." thread and implement as much in there as new features and balance / mechanic fixes...except the scanning stuff, I want more time testing in that before putting in a final statement :) |

You realize that whether it is in beta or released status makes no difference for this type of game? In the mmo world this transition is purely formal since the game will never have a final status and continue getting upgrades. |

its 2013, releasing unfinished games is the current mmo meta,.
People want pvp,. MOARR pvp.. FPS Hybrid with a MMO character progression,. or WOW style fps BG with no lvl grinding..
Planetside? Pioneer perhaps? but not really that good.
Global Agenda ? was really good when people still played it,. lawl..
Battle field hero's? still good but not really there yet..
what else? hmmm
Strange dust is on console, the concept of such a game has a massive player base searching for this drug. Free to play/cash shop , instant Battle grounds, character progression, First person shooter. we are lucky to have a game like Dust, even with all its pain an cancer. I gota say though, for all the crap I played over the years this games not all that bad.

though the 'full release' is a strictly formal event... can you say its 'live on tranquility' with zero TRUE interaction between EVE and DUST?
orbitals drop regardless of whos in space in MERC battles... not certain about PC...
Economies are not linked... they cant even interact... Merc Wallet is inaccessible to EVE side CEOs, and none of the EVE wallets are accessible to Mercs...
theres no player driven economy... unless you count that we farm isk in battles to buy pre-priced loot from NPC merchants who have INFINITE stockpiles of EVERYTHING...
they make mention of PVE content that is supposed to have deep and meaningful ties to EVE market and econ, but im sure thats comming 'soon tm' ... in 2015...
not to mention all the other *FEATURES* we have... like respecs that spawn hundreds of millions of isk for no reason into a large number of players wallets... broken squad order mechanics... broken needles? they seem to be working 'better' the last couple days but i havent bothered pulling mine out for the last couple weeks... not to mention all the hiccups im hearing about in PC battles...
they released uprising bearing high hopes... but instead push out a product that wasnt just 'lipstick on a pig' as someone else posted, but they managed to make the gameplay feel WORSE in one massive patch... that was called a live build...
i feel that its safe to say that this game is FAR from worthy of being called a live title, even just for formalities sake.
inb4 'go back to call of honor', 5 years bitter vet from EVE Online, 3+ active accounts with a running subscription tally of over $2,000 paid to date. i only play because this is relative to my interest that is EVE Online. |

Right?
Indeed. CCP's biggest failing with this game was the open beta. It was a closed beta build opened up to everyone. It gave a terrible first impression of this game. Why weren't the features of Uprising trickled out over the months? The fact this game went 4 months with no real improvements is embarrassing. Then, you get all the new stuff over an 8 day period and the game is out. Huh? In what dimension is that a sensible thing to do? I don't get it. I really don't.
They didn't use the beta period properly. They didn't use it for much of anything, it seems. Now we're at full release with some of the game. Who knows when we get the rest?

Sure. But, in reality, what can it be? What makes sense for EVE players and Dust players to do that affects each other? That isn't totally insane in ambition, too. That is actually obtainable. |

You guys seem to forget that the merc pack drama was part of the reason behind the premature release. I've seen some of you in that topic too. If you have an issue with why Dust is in the state it is, look in the ****ing mirror. |

They did it with the FFXIV mmo game and it helped... I was there for FFXIV and can tell you that at makes Dust 514 worthy of a subscription fee by comparison. Dust has problems, but no where near the ones that FFXIV and Square-Enix have right now, they're literally circling the drain. But I do agree that something needs to be done to fix Dust. I wouldn't mind if they shut the server down for a couple of months just to address the core gameplay issues, bugs and weapon balance, reopened everything and worked from there. It seems like more problems are piling on and CCP is digging themselves in a deeper hole because of problems that should have been resolved in beta. |

Launched with horrible frame rate issues, bad controls, only 2 modes, no PVE, no MCC commanders (promised since 2009), no player-deployed installations (also promised since 2009), only 32 players when the website has been saying 48 since forever ago, only 5 maps, only 3 outpost.
I know all that promised stuff is still coming, but would be good marketing to revert to beta to show everyone that you're committed to fixing everything, and to get RE-REVIEWED. Good scores attract new players. |
