Better alternative to nerfing guns. Yes, lowering both the skill floor AND skill ceiling is a great way to make a game better. In the same sentence that you condemn CoD you advocate introducing one of the worst aspects of CoD.
No kill cam, period, no exceptions (not even for final kill; it still reveals locations that it's YOUR job to find on your own.) |

If there is one thing that COD creators are good at its showmanship. The kill cam is just another gimmic to get users wrapped up in the hype of the game. CoD is played at tourneys, there's sponsors and players that stream their sessions. DUST I hope, will never have that BS. Whatever happen to the days of playing games for the enjoyment of it all without having to worry about all this fancy ****. No killcam now and forever. |

Dust was featured in tournaments at fanfest 2012 and 2013. They intend to have arena-style matches that EVE players can watch and gamble on from EVE itself. There's nothing wrong with that. What's important is keeping the spectator **** separate from the gameplay. That means no killcams in-game, while the dedicated spectators and cameramen could have access to that stuff. |

Pardon my ignorance,
It drives me crazy what games have become, on one hand it promotes development but I just am tired of the hype of the televised competitions and sponsors. |

I hear you, though not for the same reasons. My gripe is with ****** games like Halo and CoD getting attention over infinitely superior games like CS:S, or that sacrifice serious gameplay in favor of catering to the lowest common denominator an tournies.
If you think it's gotten bad with FPS games, just look what's happened to MMORPGs since that abortion called WoW came out. Innovation and quality came to a grinding halt, and it even managed to ruin good games (just look at what SOE did to SWG after WoW's success-in-spite-of-mediocrity). |

Kill distance and gun and direction of the damage indicator is more than sufficient to see how you got shot.
Killcams during the fight are a definite no. |

you know the only issue is snipers being found through this but what if you can use a device that made kill cams no show when you kill someone. Cause 98% of kills are done randomly while in the middle of a battle field not all in secert hiding spots. And that way those little whining teens can calm down and relax cause their spot where no one can see them yet they can see everyone will still be "theirs"
Like really. Just have a module or an equipment just "Hide" you. Done. And now your stealthier. Fact is its a fun thing and helpful thing and only shows a cool kill. Most ppl dont even use it cause they rage to much. Also. if snipers can just Turn it off. Then your Hiding spot will not be revealed to everyone you kill. Literally the main fights are done like in the middle of a giant fight in them iddle of a battle field. So who cares if they know your in that giant grp of ppl on that hill next to a spwning station?
And yes that is all I have to add so get over it. Come at me with REAL issues not crying cause your spot is revealed. |

You want an issue, it makes no sense for you to be able to see from an enemies perspective.
You want intel on an enemies location? Work for it trough trial and error, or carry an active scanner. |

I dont want intel on their location. I feel like kill cams are fun. And feels like all FPS should have em. Almost feels like a standard. |

no, never, not gonna happen.
there shall be no using of kill cams [or any Crap of Doody mechanic] that steal intel. i'm rather fine knowing in a furball i ended up blasted because i didnt pay attention, and then respawn and try again. we do not NEED such a mechanic |

It feels like ppl are all acting a little immature about this. I get it but really? Like the game will be ruined because of something to look at while you spawn? Get over yourselfs. No one in CoD even uses it cause they get mad so much they just hit respawn as fast as they can. Oh and repeating No Never no way really makes your case so convincing. |
