I mentioned that it would only exist in the basic Instant battles. But that wasnt even the Question I asked!. I was asking can it even be put in. Not should it. Is the Kill Cam in Call of duty trade marked? Asking if they CAN is the prelude to asking that they DO. There's no other reason to even bring up the topic but to segue into a request for such gameplay-damaging, skill-demeaning "features" from the childrens' games. |

Better alternative to nerfing guns. Yes, lowering both the skill floor AND skill ceiling is a great way to make a game better. In the same sentence that you condemn CoD you advocate introducing one of the worst aspects of CoD.
No kill cam, period, no exceptions (not even for final kill; it still reveals locations that it's YOUR job to find on your own.) |

CoD is played at tourneys, there's sponsors and players that stream their sessions. DUST I hope, will never have that BS. Whatever happen to the days of playing games for the enjoyment of it all without having to worry about all this fancy ****. No killcam now and forever. Dust was featured in tournaments at fanfest 2012 and 2013. They intend to have arena-style matches that EVE players can watch and gamble on from EVE itself. There's nothing wrong with that. What's important is keeping the spectator **** separate from the gameplay. That means no killcams in-game, while the dedicated spectators and cameramen could have access to that stuff. |

Pardon my ignorance, It drives me crazy what games have become, on one hand it promotes development but I just am tired of the hype of the televised competitions and sponsors. I hear you, though not for the same reasons. My gripe is with ****** games like Halo and CoD getting attention over infinitely superior games like CS:S, or that sacrifice serious gameplay in favor of catering to the lowest common denominator an tournies.
If you think it's gotten bad with FPS games, just look what's happened to MMORPGs since that abortion called WoW came out. Innovation and quality came to a grinding halt, and it even managed to ruin good games (just look at what SOE did to SWG after WoW's success-in-spite-of-mediocrity). |
