Day 3.5. With the IMPs push into the mainland we have issued a state of emergency. Valkyrie Protocol is in effect as IMPs prepare an assault on the capital. With the fall of Sver Prime all but inevitable we are now throwing forces at the IMPs and losing them at alarming rates. The 7th, 2nd, and 1st Sver Imperial Guard have been pulled back in the defense of capital. The remaining 10 Court Guard Units are sent to the front to booster moral to the already broken units that stand at its defense on Svers Prime frontline. Units not stationed on the front line are to assist the Valkyrie Protocol and evac all remaining civilians. While the evacuation went underway hyperspace incursions in the system near the Sver homeworld issued an Omega Genesis Alert. Unknown forces attacked the Unclaimed fleet that was assisting the evacuation. With the fleet under heavy assault 60% of allied air forces were wiped out. With close to 80 million dead and with the fleet forced to pull back with only under 50% of the civilians completely evacuated. Our commanders are trying to request more support from the Unclaimed Alliance but with their war fully south its unknown if the Sver people have been left to their fate.

Detachments of the 6th Army and 32nd Expeditionary Unit have need sent on a major assault Our Special Forces have recon reports that the ROFL forces have sent their top generals to repel the invasion. Barking that they will bury the True Bloods in the darkness of space. Sver is throwing everything they have into this assault. With failure no longer an option S-Day is our last chance to save the home land. We are to fight and die but with retreat out of the question we have been given orders scorch earth battle field, "If its not blue, its dead!" This is the biggest invasion by a single corporation, but with the evacuation of Sver Prime at stand still and with the uncertainty that Unclaimed Alliance has the ability to show in force after it's battle yesterday over Sver Prime. It is strongly possibility that who ever attacked the fleet did not want air support in the ROFL invasion. Many of the Sver soldiers and commands shout that they won't need it, but with the thoughts of their families on the home land they understand that the is situation is more desperate than bold. With many of the soldiers wondering why they did not stay to defend they must accept that is daring attack is strategy of mastery. This will be Svers Day or Svers Defeat.

"Insertion"
"This is Headhunter 2-4 we are making our way to Carthathia, over," she told over the radio. "It's nice to hear a friendly voice Headhunter 2-4," Eri, her crush said over the radio with a flirtiest tone. A dropship flies over Eri and to his front, it was his friend Markus. "Swordsmen 1-1 are you going to watch my back this time?" The kid joked. "Of course, just stay outta of the way so I can take your isk, old friend."

The dropship squadron bypasses the beach to attack Carpathia and harbor city. The men ignore the cries for help on the beach assault as they are harden by it. "All units we are 7 mikes, to touchdown!" The squadron commander Bora Actual stated. Then moments later a loud boom riped the silences they had, then the radio exploded with chatter. A rail turret hits Jillow 6-4. "Sh't! Thrusters out!," The dropsuit struggles to maintain itself in the air. "Get up! Damnit, the rotors gone! We need to bail out!" The pilots around them just watch the pilots struggle. "Copilot put on the repers!" he shouted. "Its not working!" They get hit again and goes on fire. "Damnit we're going down! Mayday! Mayday, we are going down!

Then hundreds of rail and blaster turrets come out of cloak and fire on the dropships. "Hang on! This is Popper 7 we're hit!" Dozen of dropshits fall from the sky screaming over COMs for help. "MCC what the hell is this, I thought the SF was to take care of this!" Bora shouted before getting hit and crashing. The remaining dropships try to waive through the lasers and spinning dropships. Eri looks left and see Markus with no shield and low armor. "Markus they got proto swarms locked on you activate countermeasures!" Eri desperately shouted. "Damnit, please fly straight! I can't, bro I'm sorry we used up everything we had!"cHe shouted, The missiles strike the dropship and it starts to fall like a brick. "Sorry bro, I guess your going to take my isk, huh. I'm glad it'll be you!" and he crashes.

"We can't f'uking do this!" a pilot shouted. "We're already in it now! We can not turn back!" Samna shouted over the radio. "Just hang on we are 3 mikes to touchdown!" Eri barked. Then Eri gets hit and the copilot gets injured. "My leg! My f'cking leg!" he screamed. "Shut the hell up and turn on the repers!" Eri cried. "Damn this is a weak dropship!" A merc in the back shouted. "They don't pay me well enough to use my good, sh't!" Eri responded. With more than half of the dropships down the still charge till they are over the city. "All units unload your chalk, now!" MCC commanded. Headhunter 2-4 stop for her men to drop and a forge hits her. "Damnit we gotta bulls with forge left side!" her copilot shouted. Then she gets hit again. "Damn an Ish forge!" "Headhunter 2-4 you are badly damaged wave off!" Eri shouted. "Negative we're done yet!" She cries then Eri rams into her pushing her out of the sights of the forge and gets hit for. "Swordsmen 1-1 is hit we are going down!" his copilot screamed. "Mercs get out! GO! GO!" Eri said before he slams into a building.

Nice read, i particularly liked the bit about the pay not being good enough to use a good dropship. But I'm obliged to point out that any A2A collision between dropships results in both ships becoming flaming wrecks.

Can't wait for the next part of the story.
