You hold the X button then release it drains all of your stamina but you jump like 10 feet with it scaled for the different suit types. It would be really fun getting down the timing and jumping over LAVs. |

It would be an awesome addition to the game but I doubt CCP would be able to implement it without making something else worse. |

there would be absolutely no reason for most of these compounds to have walls then, because if you can leap over a freaking wall, then why hold the compound in most of these Skirmish maps? what use would there be of any kind of cover other than to inconvenience vehicles? not happening
A charged jump would drain all of your stamina maybe even cause a delay before it recharges so you have to use it strategically. |

why is it a terrible idea? Its not unlimited, you have to have full stamina to use it and it completely drains your stamina making it a very tactical technique especially if it creates a delay before your stamina begins recharging. |

We're in space, with spacesuits. Jumping really high in the air sounds cool. This game is not a tactical shooter. Tactical shooters have chest high walls everywhere that you get in cover behind. this game is run, gun, and shoot.
If we limit the really high jumping to scouts it offers them a bit of infiltration ability to make up for their complete loss of strafe advantage. BTW, give them that back, too.
So scouts get a triple height jump and everyone else is just double. Scout should also suffer less fall damage as a result, due to their increased agility, unlike now where a short fall eats all of their shield.
There's really nothing exciting about this game right now - it needs a thing.
Yeah I miss the strafing speeds from last year's E3 build and I wasn't even a scout. |
