Short version: no.
Long version: this is a tactical, squad-based shooter that emphasises use of cover and strategy. Not only would this make no in-lore sense, but it would serve only to diminish the usefulness of the environment in strategy by allowing it to be more easily bypassed. The current vaulting mechanic works just fine. |

You can already avoid LAVs easily with simple situational awareness, forethought, and the CURRENT jump. The only time I have any trouble is either on a flat, open plain (and you should be ****** then, it was dumb as **** for you to wander out there without paying attention) or in a heavy (again, exercise some forethought and situational awareness). There's no nerf needed, except a mild one to max-skilled, proto-fit LAVs' (the other 98% are just fine) tank. |

The current vaulting mechanic works just fine. We have boosters to increase sprint speed and melee damage which would likely be done by enhancing muscle strength, this same tech could be applied to jumping capability. Also, there is really very little we can't access currently with the default jump anyways. The super jump would most likely only open up shortcuts, such as jumping up a ledge instead of taking the stairs that were 10 meters away. Thus making all areas like that tactically useless, not to mention running longer (endurance, not raw strength) being a hell of a lot different than magically getting hundreds of kilos of armour and equipment farther into the air.
It sounds neat, it would be fun to be capable of, but in terms of actual, desirable gameplay impact, it's a horrible idea.
EDIT: And think about once the clipping and other general movement issues are fixed, and all the little annoyances that make this even more desirable go away. It's not an idea with any real merit of desirable gameplay impact, and it doesn't fit well with the lore; EVE leans toward hard sci-fi for its explanations when it can, with the only big exceptions being the light speed limit and cloning tech itself, so what is proposed here is hard to justify in-lore. |

I want to see ultimate leaps of faith into dropships.
Leaps over LAVs.
Leaps over tanks.
Hell, why not make it only possible on a light dropsuit variant. God knows the light dropsuits need a selling point. Running circles around the heavy complaining he can't vault isn't enough? |
