I can't take on...Anyone! Seriously, it doesn't matter how skilled I am, or how hard I try because I'll always get annihilated, because of proto-this or proto-that. It begs the question, why should I even bother with this? I just get wrecked as soon as I hit the battlefield by someone who's been here since closed Beta.
Really, it's been 1 day since I started actually playing and the bleakness of this thing for us newbies is becoming steadily more apparent with every game.
LET me help you out. Step 1.) invest in remote explosives. Step 2.) make sure to play skirms with experienced squad mates. Step 3.) Use remote explosives to..... 'indirectly fight enemies at the objectives'
Seriously, I have a 15k isk suit that requires maybe..... 100k SP to get everything on it. I get a 3.0 to 4.0 k/d with it running just the remote explosives, and a standard AR. Skill does effect the game, however you need to play it for a while until you develop the right type of skill. Your probably used to twitch shooters like COD or BF, and I mean I was too. This game is much more 'slower' paced and methodical.
So for now, just relax, take a deep breath, and don't charge head on into fights. You need to make the enemy play on YOUR terms, NOT theirs. Things will get better, and in a few months time you can laugh at all the newbs who are justttt getting into the game. just like you. |

the rookie academy is aimed at giving newbs a "safe" place to train up until they reach a certain WP limit. Then you get dumped into higher level matches from then on. |

Ehhhh well I mean.... they are a business, so.... considering their running a free to play business model..... I would hope their trying to sell the boosters. LOL. This game is supposed to be something people stick with for a long time, and I intend to do just that. Im tired of spending 60$ a year on the same old crap. Ill probably spend just as much on this game, but atleast I wont have to worry about my stats getting erased every year, and what I do will effect others. Not to mention that everything I own is something IIIIII gained through my own work and effort. Ive never played another shooter that had as much meaning in it as this one. Hell I doubt ive ever played another game quite like this one. |

4 months of passive gaining = 3.5 million SP 4 months of playing = 12 million SP
1 year of passive gaining = 11 million SP 1 year of playing = 50 million SP (approximately)
hmmmm I mean if you think waiting will make things any better then go ahead and do that, but im not sure if things will work out the way you want it to..... |

After so much sp, it doesn't matter anymore. You will have a very good hold on a single role. Extra sp would just be for expanding out into other roles. 11 mill sounds like a pretty good foothold for all sp placed into a single role, that is if they don't just delete the game and never come back. Although, yes, you are right in that just playing will eventually get you out of the sp hole quicker, but it does take a certain determination and masochistic personality. Some would say that's a good thing, but it limits the game to just being a niche. I'd like all of highsec to be modified somehow to give these ppl a place to play while gearing up for lowsec, but thats just my own axe to grind.
Your right, the numbers I put up are just a way to justify the "HTFU" mentality a lot of people scream on here. The game needs to be more streamlined for newbies to get into and stick with. That will come with time (when they add drones) and with better shooter controls...... Like ones that I can aim properly with. lol |

Uses milita gear, doesn't have that many support skills, still kills proto players and vehicles. Bull****. If passive SP gain is 24k SP per day, and you've had your guy since the last reset that's at least 2.88 million SP. More if you play to earn Active SP (and you do), and more if you buy boosters. I bet you have over 8 mil SP invested in your character.
its called an alt account...... Lots of people make them because to my knowledge CCP hasn't said anything against them. Lol, he could even be using a second character, though I don't seem much point in that..... |
