First, I am going to make an assumption that the bubble with the X through it means you have Voice Chat Enables but are not able to do so?
I am using a Bluetooth Jabra headset that is set up fine in the PS3. Shows under accessories. When I test the audio in the PS3 settings, works well. I just do not hear nor do I think people hear me in Dust, though Voice Chat is Enabled.
Am I missing something? |

Not sure if it's any help, but I have to turn push-to-talk off in both the menu and the channel. None of the keys for any of the presets for the DS3 or the 'z' key for the kb turn on my mic in any combination I've been able to find. If I turn Voice Chat enabled to on and then the others off, my mic is voice activated only, so it's almost always on, but it's better than nothing. |

if you have a playstation eye or any other device with a mic in it, try removing them from the PS3 and restarting Dust514. see if this helps and then try reconnecting them to see if it breaks your voice chat again.
i had set my camera mic to "do not use"... even though i selected the PS3 headset as my active mic in the XMB and it tested well, Dust514 would try to use the muted camera and no one could hear me.
a few things to make sure you have in the settings : voice chat : on push to talk : off (you can turn it back on later if you want, just not when you are troubleshooting)
check your audio settings in-game. i tend to have voice, sfx & music all down below 30 and the chat up at 90
when you are in a squad, be sure to click on the squad and select "activate voice"
a white speech bubble means you have voice chat on, it should turn green when you talk
i hope this helps. |
