The plan is to try to get expansions every 3-6 months (they're free so no paying 15$ for them) and smaller patches as necessary to fix things between. CCP does express they want to stick to 3 month cycles however developer things DO happen and an expansion may get delayed by a month or two depending on the content.
There is still balance and fix patches on the way the dust from Uprising hasn't settled yet as many things are still unresolved and need fixing. This however doesn't take all the team's time so progress is being made by other teams. For example art and sound teams responsible for new content rarely have to go back and fix things so they're pumping out more artwork such as more buildings, weapons, effects, though sometimes the new things replace old things it is still progress forward. |

CCP does care about the reviews but they do not traditionally react the same way, but unlike many other companies they're going to learn from the reviews and press forward instead of using the reviews as an excuse to fire people (cough EA, Activision and now more recently Gearbox)
As for the 3-6 month expansion thing... that is unofficially no longer the case but I will let CCP explain what is going with development when they feel ready and what they are planning is feasible. Dust 514 is getting just as much developed as the CCP Shanghai studio is itself so its not a triple AAA development teams are not made overnight either. |

Yeah enjoy E3 for the week, have fun and seeing how new ways game developers want to push some games (though I died a bit inside when I saw what ea did to destroy plants verses zombies.) |

The CPM is working on getting something out to you guys in some shape form or manner, but right now it is an internal debate of how and who mostly. To say very soon* would be a lie in my book even though its capable of today it wouldn't be of much thought or consideration and it would offend several people's sensibilities. It's a bit complicated as we're trying to help CCP out better and to get best overall community results for both the developers and the players.
Give me and the rest of the CPM a week and I should be able to get an update on how its going to proceed. |

Well, the "Last of Us", will last one more week, you better have something for us then ;)
Well the meeting was pretty big we're still recovering from it and still thinking things talked about over, Few of the CPM may need to sleep on it more but I am going to cut myself a path real quick and get something done on my end just in case.
Either way roadmap worded as is, is best kept internally to CCP so a direct copy paste is not going to be for the best for anyone on either side of the fence. |

There should be a weekly report from CPM Hans concerning the meeting and the current ongoings. I'ill continue work and get something prepared in case one scenario does come or is forced into fruition.
and before you ask, No its not NDA'ed and No don't ask for a sneak peak you won't get it. The project leads need you to clean up their work? The lead designer cannot compose a roadmap shortly after the biggest gameshow of the year? CPM 0, don't bother working out elections, there won't be anyone voting. I am amazed that the game has gotten this far with such blatant incompetence at the top. This is slowly turning in to a farce.
and this is where we're going to point and laugh at you for being so totally out of context. |

Unfortunately with scrum development, how CCP operates, and how many times each of these features MUST be visited between patches (its not going to be a single big hammer fix) while may seem like a 'todo' is really a road map ccp uses nonetheless because it does allow for a great deal of freedom in solving the stated issues in making the player/developer story driven roadmap become true.
On some of these items I expect them to be permanently on the roadmap. While it may get shuffled around and changed on its order of focus, some of these things will and should remain on the list even after this roadmap of the next 6 months are done.
It may not be like planetside 2's roadmap (which if you been paying attention to all the latest updates lately has gone horribly off road lately) laced with specific features with plans and exact details on how these features are going to be MONTHs well ahead of actual implementation with little to no consideration to the month before, or the current game play and how unagile the game is, it just further shows that such a restrictive roadmap can be very very hurtful. I seriously don't want to wait to the end of the current roadmap cycle to see when they will fix the VS MAX overdrive ability and RIP 4th continent.
You can't put a time stamp on some of these, and there are things that have to be dove back into to repair again.
And you have to be honest, Dust 514 needs this list regardless if its a ordered todo list or a timestamp-less roadmap. |
