*General approach

Greetings everyone.
First of all, a word of advice: Like last time, SPEND WISELY YOUR SKILLPOINTS. Wait a little bit before putting everything in *that* suit or *that* weapon, because it WILL be tweaked, and there WILL be tears because of it, and (we hope), no more skill respecs.
You have been warned.
That being said, i would like to ask a question to the community.
How do you folks spend your SP?
There are those that like to do a little bit of everything and head towards a more General approach, while others, like to excel in their area, and head towards a Specialization approach.
But the Specialization approach also have it-¦s path, with some getting the suits first, and others the weapons.
How do you folks roll?

and hold off on the weapons in the case that they nerf some st00f

I sit down and do all kinds of math for the different dropsuits based on what mods/weapons I want to use. I don't have to choose an order really because I have 11m SP, but I have everything proto except my equipment, which is the next step. |

Saving mine for "BBQ Proficiency" and it's sub skills "Tongs Range - +5% range to tongs and other implements allowing burger flipping and sausage rolling from greater distances" and "Firelighter Proficiency - -5% firelighter requirement allowing less fuel needed to get the fires burning". I hear a rumour that there was a BBQ rail gun on it's way too, which shoots pre configured BBQs and associated picnic tables and condiments. |

The thing I don't like about this approach is CCP is always tweaking the game. The good stuff now will get nerfed, bringing a new OP weapon which will be nerfed, bring a new OP weapon and so on. With the severe likelihood of Caldari Logi and TARs being nerfed, of course skilling into them now isn't a great idea, but that shouldn't keep you from spending your SP on things you know you'll use. If you like ARs, skill into ARs.
Holding on to your SP is an endless cycle of what ifs and maybes. |

I`m not saying that people shouldn-¦t invest their SP on what they like to play, just to watch out on HOW they spend and to do it wisely. No point in "I-¦ve put 10m SP in *this* and you guys ruined it" like last time.
And i-¦m not saying that people shoulnd-¦t complain when their weapon got unbalanced.
And the point of the topic isn-¦t about the saving of SP (that-¦s my personal approach, i won-¦t go proto in my usual stuff, i-¦ll wait a bit because there-¦s a lot of things going on and i know CCP-¦s history in balancing things, so i-¦ll wait), it-¦s about how people spend things.
Going proto suit give you more survivability, but going better wapons makes you kill the protosuits faster if you manage to stay alive long enough.
It-¦s always a trade off. |

Those skills are always needed mate. How can we have a proper BBQ without those? |

My only question is when are the new weapons Remnant talked about coming - if in a month or so then I will save some
If not I'm splurging and then will try to save some back in the fall (when hopefully I am into my proto suit) |

Everything so far has gone into my sniper specialisation and fitting skills. Only just started speccing into suits... should hit proto basic frame by the time i get to 10m sp  |
