Basically, an armor reparier that repairs much faster than a normal one, but it has to be activated, has a limited run time and then has a cooldown. Like the scanner, where it works for a few seconds and then has to recharge. The difference is that it works for longer, you can use your weapon while it works, and it has a cooldown for much longer than that. |

But joking aside no I don't like the idea of armor repairer working more like vehicular mods. You want to heal fast find a logi with a tool. The logi tool will still be faster, and never has to recharge. It also means the assault/scout has to give up a nanohive/uplink/scanner/whatever in exchange for armor reps. Having a logi means that you can choose something else. |

As an actual logi that provides triage, revives and ammo, I spit at the idea to make my class more useless as a support role by giving the clones I intend on supporting even more ability to go it alone. I would rather people rely on logis more than take that dynamic away. Let me do my job, there will be no need for other armor repair equipment/modules. It appears people think that I'm talking about 50hp/s rep over 30 seconds or something. Think about it, a proto rep does 5hp/s. The equipment version will be around 12hp/s over 20 seconds. (proto) The standard rep tool does 20hp/s over unlimited time. The proto one does 35. And there is one that is even more effective for infantry.
Heck, the core focus one does 105 hp/s on dropsuits (!). |

Personally I dont like that idea since they're adding Reactive Plates which is basically armor with built-in Armor repair and we have the regular armor repair modules alongside Repair gun. So many options to get heals, why add even more?
With all that being said we already have self deployed equipment that heals. Nanohives with armor repair. Nanohive will still rep much quicker. The armor rep will allow you to move around while repping, at the cost of armor rep speed. |

Have a RIG that has a small % increase of effectivness of a particular module type, in this case, armour repairer (although I still think it's a bad idea, logi bonus is increased armor regen and in my opinion, the ONLY class that needs armor regen) I would actually love rigs, but CCP are far from implementing them. |
