Alright, So the read-me (that no one reads) states that this fourm is for talking about the CPM and issues. So, these are my questions.
1: What is the EXACT goal for CPM 0, what did CCP tell you your mission was when they gave you the position? I realize you are at time acting as a mouth peace, and helping with all the tweaking that is needed, gather info, ect ect.
2: How often does CPM meet? Is there an actually schedule for meetings? Or is it more of a "Hey, your online, letGÇÖs talk about this issue." I am kind of wondering if CPM is pretty organized or a loose group of people. Not that I would fault anyone for it being a loose group, itGÇÖs a game and youGÇÖre not getting paid.
3: What are the issues on the table? Is there a list of things you are working on or trying to get CCP to work on? Stand in models for the other suits, balance issues, ect ect.
4: How often do you meet with CCP? Pretty straight forward question. Is there a schedual, or is it more of them contacting CPM members when they want info.
5: Who are you? I know they named everyone who is a CPM member, but did they tell you, "Hey, this is the reason we selected you to be on this team." Would it be possible to get an Intro thread here giving a brief bio on each of the CPM members.

Aeon Amadi wrote:Well, one CPM member (I don't remember who or where it was quoted as there's no tags for their posts in the sub-forums) said that they ARE NOT meant for Balancing. Which makes me sort of scratch my head as the only thing they'd really be after that is the harbinger of new content, something CCP isn't really too crazy about.
So, to be honest, I think the CPM is a small select group of people that has more flash and pizzazz whenever they post on the forums, makes their alliance (Cronos) look more important and gets a free trip to Iceland. Also, they talk to Devs about the same boring **** we talk about.
Then again I could be wrong and they might actually be doing a lot of things that -are- important to the game like... Whatever is not balancing proposals and new content implementation. So that narrows it down to nodding in agreement with whatever CCP says and smiling at the things they don't like.
I read that post where they said they are not there for balencing, that being said. What actually they are meant to do, and what they are doing are two diffrent things. Not saying its bad, its simply the fact of the matter, what the CPM was created for, and what they are used for, might not line up.

I am not asking for a detailed list of what is going on but I wouldn't mind a ball park answer. To me it seems you are clearly doing more than the two objectives they laid out. I have seen a few threads and posts by CPM members that lead me to believe that you are at least somewhat involved in balancing.
Example:
CPM: Feedback Requested, Tactical Assault Rifles
Also the placeholder thread I cant find. |
