Was thinking, why must logistics be limited to medium suits? Why must assaults be limited to medium suits? Why not have these specialties offered in other frame sizes?
So for instance, a Light Logistics. It would be similar to the Scout Type 2 suits from Chromosome, no sidearm and extra equipment. Perhaps make it Gallente and Minmatar 3 equipment at prototype and Caldari and Amarr 2 equipment at prototype (with a sidearm), pretty much mirroring the Medium Logistics but with one less equipment to balance out the faster speed. Keep the same Logistics bonus of 1 armor repair/second per level and same racial bonuses.
I'm a bit hesitant to say this, but then why not a Heavy Logistics. Remove a good bit of armor and shield (similar to how Medium logistics lose armor and shield) and make it two equipment max or maybe just one. Same logistics bonuses.
Then why not with Assault, Light Assault and Heavy Assault. Same bonuses, all that good stuff. And perhaps Medium Scout and Heavy Scout (yeah, I know what you're thinking) with same Scout bonuses. Same bonuses and same color schemes (so Light Logistics would be the light suits with yellow highlights for example).
The end goal here is too simply get more diversity on the battlefield and more ways to make yourself feel unique. With proper balancing I don't see why any specialty needs to be limited to a single frame size. |

Interesting idea, I would like to see this. Would substantially increase variety.
Would be great with the new commando specialization coming for the heaves that sacrifice health and heavy weapons to use 2 light weapons, I would love a light or medium commando as well. |
