I put in the medium frame because it has more high slots for damage mods than the racial variant so it is more effective for AV. For the maximum amount of damage in the best dropsuit with the best weapons available (officer or proto) it cost you 4,054,960 and if you would like the finest AV nades with it your investment increases to 5,298,640
On the other hand, tanks and vehicals in general have lots and lots of skills to invest into to have a "decent" tank. Decent is a very kind word for these ww2 standard halftracks. For example, the vehical upgrades tree houses all the defensive skills the tank can have and is as follows:
Shield upgrades 3x shield extension 5x shield recharge 2x shield boost systems 2x shield adaptaion 5x vehical electronics 2x core upgrades 3x
To have the most effective vehicle mod and obtain the necessary skill effect (you need it to modify mod effectiveness) for these skills you have to reach lv 5 with the exception of shield adaptation (as it is far too pricey and lv 4 will do in most circumstances) you will need to invest 6,092,940 in Shield Upgrades. Keep in mind 2 skills i did not include as they are less common and not used by many. However as stated above, this is only the defensive ability of vehicles, if you only speced into this you dont have a tank, dropship, lav or any sort of vehicle yet because you need to invest into Vehicle Command first. Then you have to invest in turrets as well.
Doing the math i came to find that for tanks, only skilling into the nessicary lv of lavs and vehical command with the additon of proto small and large weapons to have an effective tank it will cost between 10 to 14 million skill points depending on how many levels of the Enforcer Tank skill (12x) you would like to invest to.
in conclusion, it requires 2.5 to 3.5 times less skill points and time (depending on weithre the forgegunner wants proto AV grenades) to turn your ww2 halftrack into a peice of.... gone.
Yes AV is supposed to destroy tanks and it does it very well! I appluaed AV for being so brutally efficent and boo at all new tankers who think they can tank.... and anyone who tries to tank
This list is just plain wrong! please correct!
You missed some heavy skills man. First off you need the dropsuit PG and CPU core skills, and weaponry level 5 im pretty sure you need for FG
add the skill for dmg moduals as well you mentioned having them but not the skill that lets you use them?
Also NO upgraded armor repair? hows he supposed to have any survivability?
No dampeners?
And for grenades you need explosive and grenadier (I think lvl 1 at least.)
Also you did not factor in the fact you probably are gonna want the Shield health upgrades and armor health upgrades so you have the most armor and shield you can get. essential.
You need a sidearm so toxin lets say for def
Also you need dropsuit command at level 3 so that is wrong
And even with all that PG and CPU from the core skills your still gonna have a hard time fitting all that stuff on there, like i dont think you CAN fit proto av grenades with a proto forge and proto dmg mods and a toxin + reppers and dampener.
Your forge gunner you built here I would not be caught dead in, because it is a death trap!
Your giving allot of liberty skills to a tank that your not giving to the FG'er so this entire list is skewed and appears biased
You literally went most basic high dmg forge gunner then most EFFECTIVE tank your words not mine... and that forge gun could not even work because you left out skills, so he would not be able to deploy!
Please add the other skills the heavy would need to be successful with that forge gun as he is not going to magically teleport behind your tank.
Or i might make a thread about getting a adv tank with proto turret and say see tanks dont cost much SP at all! and it would be wrong. |
