An article was released recently about the speech Tibus Heth made after the truth for the death of Admiral Yanala was revealed.
CCP Eterne wrote: New Caldari GÇô Speaking for the first time since Caldari Navy Executive Officer Mininela Erinen testified that he forced Admiral Visera Yanala to undergo the Tea Maker Ceremony, a harried Tibus Heth attempted to apologize for and defend his actions. Before he could finish, the assembled crowd broke into a riot and forced Heth off stage.
Rather than broadcasting the speech from a secured location, Heth chose to speak before assembled workers for Caldari Constructions. He began by saying, GÇ£Loyal Caldari citizens, I come before you today to address the testimony delivered to the Chief Executive Panel two days ago. It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you the testimony is, while over dramatized and colored with bias, essentially true.GÇ¥
The crowd began to grow rowdy, though Heth attempted to continue speaking over them. GÇ£It is with great sadness that I reveal this information to you. I acted only in the best interests of the State in making this decision. Admiral Yanala informed me she disobeyed a direct order and allowed her ship to be destroyed by Gallente forces. She showed no remorse for her actions and was defiant in front of both myself and the Navy's executive officer.
GÇ£In light of her treasonous actions, I gave her a final act to prove her honor by drinking the hak'len tea. She did so and the Maker did not protect her, so her life was forfeit. It was only later, after the CEP and Caldari Navy investigated further, that it was revealed that the battle was a lost cause and Admiral Yanala had acted to preserve lives.
GÇ£I admit I acted with haste. But a leader must act decisively in such situations. I regret my actions in retrospect, but Visera - GÇ¥
At this point, a member of the crowd hurled a bottle at the stage. Provist security immediately leapt into the crowd to detain the perpetrator, but the crowd broke into a riot and began assaulting the guards. Heth momentarily attempted to appeal for calm, but was quickly whisked off stage by his handlers. Order was restored shortly after by Provists and law enforcement, with 23 reported wounded, including one in critical condition.
Heth has made no statement since the riot, while a full board meeting of the Chief Executive Panel has been called. Despite it being a clich+¬, death to Heth, I am glad that the Caldari people are finally realizing what kind of a delusioned power-hungry madman he is. |

The issue with despots and tyrants is that they never go silently into the night. Caldari will spill Caldari blood before this is all cover. |

Perhaps but I think it would be unwise to do so. Don't forget that ours is a new "species" in New Eden and many call for the end ofall that we are. To get involved in events that topple Empires I think would backfire on those who did so. No matter how this plays out people will die and it won't be Heth that will be blamed in the aftermath nor insurgents it will be the super soldiers that are hired, we are after all an easier target to hold to account then podders and societies never accept the blame for the plauge riddled fields that they till. |

If you didn't read the original post or the title, this thread is about the recent speech made by the Caldari State leader Tibus Heth after it was discovered that he was directly responsible for the death of Admiral Yanala. The speech swiftly erupted into a riot, and Mr. Heth hasn't commented on the event since. |

I wouldn't hope for a speedy end to this man, he has after all ruled for six years now and this is hardly his first blunder. The man surrounds himself with fools, thugs and zealots all of whom think themselves fit to rule. They control the States purse strings and have imbedded like minded people in the highest echelons of the military. If the Caldari people wish to free themselves of such people they will have to do so forceablly. |

While I'm not sure a Caldari Civil War is going to happen, there are definitely going to be assassins hired by someone within the State sometime soon (if not already). Heck, it may be one of his close advisers that pulls the trigger.
He also won't let his rule crumble under him; he'll fight to the end. The investigation won't take that long now that he admitted killing the Admiral, and the Megacorps won't want him to stay in power anymore. |
