How to use this function? I've played more than 20 games, and never heard any team-mates' voice. Am I having the wrong settings??? |

If you want to hear your squad select squad in your chat tab then select "activate voice". If you are in team, select team in chat channel tab and select "activate voice" |

Push to talk doesn't prevent you from hearing teammates- it only controls when they hear you. You need to be holding down the left d-pad button every time you want to talk.
Some people don't like it, but it's better than having to listen to background noise. And no matter what people might say, no mic cancels out everything you don't want your team to hear. |

One thing to note about push to talk in this game is that it is only available when you are actually on the ground (in merc quarters, on the battlefield, on the warbarge). If you are at the deployment map, end game stats, or similar, push to talk does not work and people won't hear you.
Just something to keep in mind. |

you may have the voice chat setting off in the setting panel in the neocom. I don't know if it defaults to off anymore. |

I recently made a new account and have been running in the academy games trying to help people and I have found many of them just don't know how to use the voice abilities. when playing I could see almost all of them had the voice icon but never a word spoken from them. some times they would respond by doing the order given but I have only found maybe two people out of around 6 games that I played had changed settings.
info about voice.
1) must activate voice chat in channel you wish to use.
2) team channel goes away when not in an actual game.
3) you can change voice settings in the neocom under options.
