While everyone is busy complaining about the TAC (please stop) and the LAV's, that we have several closet OP weapons going unchecked?
First of all, I die way more from the GEK than I do from the TAC. Just getting that out of the way.
Now, no seems to have noticed that the SMGs do an unholy amount of damage. The Proto version can take down a heavy in one clip. A freaking heavy! Next, the Scrambler Pistols are obscenely powerful in close range. Even the Militia one.
So, uh, discuss. What other weapons (not the TAC) do you feel are OP, but are underused/underrepresented?
P.S. I really don't know how to feel about the sniping in this game. One one hand, the rifles themselves seem pretty balanced. On the other hand, those who use them are a bloody scourge. |

You are what is wrong with gamer's AND why game companies have a hard time balancing games. They just cant listen to ppl like you. You think just because you get killed by a weapon a lot... that it's OP. The only ppl that should offer advice are ones that HAVE ACTUALLY USED MOST OF THE WEAPONS. Aside from that, you should look at the intended use of the weapon, it's "on paper" stats, and if they seem balanced with other weapons and their "on paper" stats. (ie: comparing range/ROF/dmg per round AND DPS/hip-fire accuracy/etc etc)

-I didn't call the GEK OP. I was using it to point out that the TAC isn't my biggest problem.
-I've used all of these weapons, dickhead.
-Look at any of my arguments about the TAC, and you'll see that I know exactly what the intended use of the guns are. It's not like I'm calling for a range buff on he SMG, am I? |

By mentioning the GEK, SMG, and Pistols, in your post about "several closet OP weapons going unchecked", you are IMPLYING that those weapons are also OP. Now you're just trying to back-pedal, because you realize you look like a fool.
You're right, I am implying that they are OP. But guess what? I never CALLED them OP. I fear that after the next nerf wave, people will complain about these next. Are you done? |

And I said in the very next sentence that my concern is that when the TAC nerf comes, people will start complaining about the weapons I listed (not the GEK). I wasn't even trying to argue with him, and that's not the point of this thread; I just don't put up with being bad-mouthed by strangers.

This. IMO, the best way to balance the TAC is to nerf the hipfire accuracy. Not longer viable in CQC, people hopefully stop crying. Other good tweaks are a small RoF reduction, and a magazine reduction to 20 rounds or so. |
