I feel that this is now widespread enough that I can post this on the forums without the effects getting worse.
Apparently now there's a new "leet" tactic that the "pros" are all using, which needs to be stopped ASAP. Now the new way of guarding a NULL cannon is to have some ******* sitting with the spawn cloak on until someone tries hacking; at that point, said ******* decloaks and kills said hacker. I can deal with LAV's crushing everyone, and TAC AR OPness for a while. However, this is bullshit.
I could be jumping the gun on this, but it seems like more than a coincidence that someone materializes and starts shooting whenever I hack or get near some red uplinks
On a somewhat related note, apparently some people have also found a way to put uplinks inside of walls. |

Completely agree. I would rather get ran over by a tac ar than insta smashed by a cloaked **** stain.

I'm submitting a bug report on drop links that are placed on pipes in Line Harvest and become indestructible.
The way this is being abused is, Line Harvest has three pipes side by side, but the middle pipe is lower than the outer two, place links on that lower middle pipe. The links sink a little below the surface and cannot be shot. |

The underlined above isn't just an Uplink issue, it's Hives as well. Every now and then they clip through the terrain and while usable, they are below the terrain. The other issue I have seen is if you throw a link or hive, they'll clip through the terrain and be unusable. |

Anyway, like I said, I wasn't completely sure of the extend of this. Still- had to deal with a game where every single time I got near one of the NULL cannons or the uplinks by it, this happened. |

You can also shoot people while they are cloaked and it drops the cloak. Anyone complaining about the cloak is a carebear that needs to stop being a baby. |

Just out of curiosity, you are sure it was a spawning enemy and not an enemy simply hiding nearby, correct? Not saying what you mention never happens, but hiding by a point then ambushing when someone rushes to hack it is also a somewhat common tactic. (Especially by shotgun users.) |

Perhaps like the measure of throwing a nade on the objective to get rid of any remotes, the area could also be scanned with an active scanner (cloaked still get picked up and put on radar as far as I know). |

You do realize that a controlled NULL cannon has proximity detection right?
So if you get near it the other team will you see you on their mini map and will either walk over to it or if they are dead will spawn on it to make sure you do not hack it.
OH yeah and its icon blinks when you are hacking it on all maps and in the game.
Again i state my previous post:

Next time I get online I'll test how long you can stay in spawn cloak for.
I didn't think it was indefinite, but I've never actually just sat to check. |

Bad luck???
The whole point of the game is to take and defend the Null cannons. It is not elites hiding to kill you when you happen to go and take one...it is everyone in the whole game....It is in fact THE GAME.
My god. i am amazed you have the mental ability to type out a complaint about it. |
