Grenades should not be limited to either explosive damage, or a specialty role. Instead, there should be four damage grenades, one for each damage type.
Flux Grenade Converted into an EM-damage grenade. Very strong against shields, but very weak against armor.
Plasma Grenade New thermal-damage grenade. Strong against shields, but weak against armor.
Locus Grenade Converted into a kinetic-damage grenade. Strong against armor, but weak against shields.
Thermobaric Grenade New explosive-damage grenade. Very strong against armor, but very weak against shields. |

Would make sense to fit EVE's pattern for every type of weapon even if we already have small bits of that in Dust at the moment. But, i'd say we need that kind of things to be added with a general update on Damage Types and mecanics.
We would need more weapons, more resistance and defensive modules, more variations in the suits on damage types resistance.
And last but not least, some real indications of the Damage type % on the stats screen. Probably #1 thing to do prior to adding more layers on that matter. |
