So with the official launch we got?
Fixed/Improved:
- Spawning is better. - More fancy graphics - A lot better sound - More stuff - Active scanners! - Vehicle controls finally got normal, (gass/brake buttons - Squad invites are easier
Broken/worse:
- Even chunkyer, which is impressive - Framerate issues - Hit detection issues - Aiming got wonky - Input lag as bad as 1o months ago - Terrain interraction is worse - The laser got a huge nerf instead of a slight tune - Same goes for the MD - Tanks/AV balance is off - Having 10 LAVs bussing around is already getting old - please increase cost or nerf - Weapon range, huge open maps and such a short range? Come on! - Shotgun broken? - Tac AR broken - a 50% range advantage combined with its excellent CQC performance is too much - The fatsuit is well, mostly not here anymore - Scout is still weak - Balance is "more off" in general - Very odd, borderlining moronic racial bonuses for many of the suits - We have less weapon diversity leading to a blander game - Don't even get me started on the medkits - PC performance is an insult - and thats with only 16 vs 16 players, somebody should hang their heads in shame.
So please, help me add to the Fixed/Improved list, I'm sure I forgot something. |

But we did get PC battles which is a huge plus for the good list. maybe the only one worth mentioning.....
Not with its current performance, I'd rather wait than having to use 100+ bullets on average per kill. |

So please, help me add to the Fixed/Improved list, I'm sure I forgot something. Much of the aim/framrate/clunky issues can be improved if you shut down your PS3 after every 5 or so games and let it cool down...or even just a restart. This is CCPs fault...they need to optimize. Still don't grind out 20 matches get crap frame rate and complain on the forums with out doing anything about it when you can.

I have a funny feeling the answer is no. While I agree things on the list may gander a look at (I for one don't feel the controls are clunky anymore) the problem with this list is that even if killed you can easily generate another list similar to it.

I have been on these forums from the start, I'm not the kind of guy to make "nerf this" threads or "CCP suxx" threads or any of the standard forums QQ. When I make a thread its because of MAJOR ISSUES, like the 1 week of nade spam we had before open beta. Do you really think I would make another list of the remaining minor issues? If these issues were "killed" as you put it, it wouldn't be much left to complain about now would it?
Many FPS veterans have been telling how bad this game is mechanically, this has been going on for close to a year now. How they can go from the relative liveable quality from the previous build into the chunky, framerate dropping, input laggy piece of kitten game we have now is beyond me.
I want this game to succeed, I want it to work properly. If this list got "killed", it would certainly cheer my Dust blues away.
I'll throw you a bone, I'll be very much impressed if you can answer me this:
How is it possible for a game thats been a year in beta to be released in such a horrid state?
- Or am I to believe that CCP simply is incompetent, that each future change or addition to the game will bring in more issues and we are practically back to the second beta build as far as gameplay smoothness goes. In my eyes, there have been very little in terms of improvement to game mechanics since the second build (I belive, might be nr 3), so little to no improvement after a year, will it be just as bad after 3?
I've played Dust for year now, out of curiosity, out of future potential and the hope that when the "Work in progress" dissapears it would be playable, boy was I wrong. |

We don't have new game modes, they just have a new name.
We'we had "keep the letters blue" AKA a map control game mode and,
we'we also had "kill all the reddots" AKA classic team death match.
The difference between skirmish/domination and ambush/oms is not big enough to call them seperate game modes.
We can only hope that a progressive variant is in the making, like Skirmish 1.0 or any variant of capture the flag....
