Not sure if troll...
Either way, it is more than obvious that Dust will begin to gradually take away support from the PS3. As more PS4s are bought, the devs will focus on optimizing the game through that platform. Ps3s might still be able to play Dust, but they wont be able to enjoy any major graphic updates, or more intricate maps. I have a feeling the whole "floating platforms" map would be completely out of the PS3s league. Maybe even ship boarding would be restricted to PS4 only.
I believe Dust was meant for the PS4, they are just using the PS3 to knock out as many kinks as possible before them. Sony has been touting how the PS4 will sport a number of F2P games, I'm sure Dust is supposed to be one of the major ones. |

" Oh dear....don't know much about games are you ? Why Floating platforms and Ship boarding will be out of the PS3 league ? I just drop this here... Floating PlatformsShip boardingAnd that is the PS2
Well sure, the PS3 could handle that, if it looked like that. Lol
I admit I don't know much about game development, but I do know business and I have lived through two video game generation transitions. Claiming that Dust needs to cling to the PS3 playerbase to survive is plain silly. CCP, like every other developer; will optimize their game using the most advanced technology they can. It is undeniable that the PS4 version will outclass the PS3 one. Dust may be available and all of its features, but it will at least suffer graphics wise. It's like trying to run a current AAA title on a 5 year old computer that hasn't been upgraded in anyway. You would have to run it on lowest settings if it runs at all. Planetside 2 doesn't even start on my mom's pc from 2 years ago.
Aside from hardware limitations brought on by natural technological evolution, Sony wants to sell PS4s. They are not going to want to continue supporting PS3 play and will probably want certain things restricted to the Ps4 to sell them. I'm not saying for thw release, but they will eventually begin cutting off the PS3. I would give it a year or two before development stops for PS3 |

The question is, how long will it take all regular dust players to upgrade to the PS4? I can easily afford a PS4, but I have not seen any interesting games yet., but we will see more on June 10th.
There will be extraordinarily long lines the day the PS4 comes out and probably a few shootings to obtain one. Most, if not all PS4 owners will spend their first few days trying out all of the F2P games. If CCP doesn't get that port going ASAP, they are missing out on a huge opportunity. |
