Players under 4m SP: No SP Weekly Cap Players over 4m SP: Weekly SP Cap
New players getting stomped by proto squads is rampant, and is a MAJOR DEAL BREAKER for people who like the game but aren't willing to devote 4+ months to get some simple gear.
Removing the skill cap for new players would: - Enhance the rewards after a game, even if it ends in a crushing loss you get a reward for sticking through the fight - Motivate new players to learn faster and be more open to different skill avenues - Gain popularity for a game that needs more than the first beta-diehards to continue - Lessen the time gap it requires to get a half-decent setup, and to have a decent shot in games vs proto users
Anyone over 4m sp has a very good foundation already, therefor if the income slows down, it will not hinder them NEARLY as much as someone with 600k sp.
NO one likes being killed OVER AND OVER just because someone else has invested sh** tons of time into the game and has a ridiculous advantage over you. Try it really, you will cry about OP gear until it's either fixed or you spend 3 months ingame to finally manage to skill into a decent suit or vehicle.
FIX THIS CCP, NOW, OR LOSE THOUSANDS OF POTENTIAL GAMERS.
Good day gentlemen. |

Sure they can get it, but what about skilling through the dropsuit upgrades? Those proto dropsuits are made infinitely better by that, and that was the main point. Until around 4m sp, expect to get stomped a majority of the time. |

What does grinding out sp matter if you're new and want to get out of MLT gear asap? It helps someone get used to a game faster because it's intriguing and fun. And passive would be a boost when you're not on (which it is), and would help people more once they pass 4m sp.
Plenty of my friends who wanted to play this game liked the academy, but when the protos hit the dirt around them, they realized even with superior skill at the game they were outmatched easily. And its a massive turnoff when you realize you can't hope to put up much of a fight for months. This would effectively give them 'light at the end of the tunnel'.
Plus the more you play, the more you familiarize yourself with how a game works. |
