An idea a friend came up with(mother Fracker). Doesnt need to be implimented anytime soon, but how about allowing respecs for players at anytime for an aur cost. |

Idea has been mentioned many times. I, for one, think it's a no-brainer...what's the harm? Make it $10 and it's plenty attainable but expensive enough to not be just thrown around frequently. |

an SP respec with no Isk refund would keep the respecing to a minimum. It would also make the snail like skillprogression seem like you were getting somewhere. people would run out of Isk and have to go to battle and make more before they could use their SP up. |

Don't you guys see what would happen once they make this happen?
Imagine the whining on the forums, the angry all caps, poor grammar letters to customer service, all complaining that this is a p2w mechanic, forcing people to spend money on a game that advertises itself as a AAA f2p game. With the constantly shifting balance, they will say, you HAVE to respec to be competitive, and therefore HAVE to pay to play.
Would they be wrong? |

on a technical level, yes, as you don't technically HAVE to pay, its just if you don't want to get stomped into the dust by all the people who would immediately switch to the most OP thing with every single patch.
It'll be more of a "pay to even be remotely competitive" game
TL;DR: On a technical level, still F2P. Realistically, it'll basically be a subscription game, and the subscription game I'm planning on playing is shaping up to be much, much better than dust is right now, and it's in beta. Also, this is technically longer than the original post, suckers! |

If your able to respec whenever you like there will be no value of any class because anyone can fulfill any role your teams need. Itd make the game borring if you can do what you want when you want |

Well, I think they would be. If people are willing to say that spending money on double boosters and getting 50% more SP (~73.44% with Omega Passive) is not "paying to win", then why would they say "being able to change your SP points is paying to win."? People generally say "they can use the equipment faster and use more but they are not inherently better than you"; I would hazard that we would say the same thing for optional respec.
That being said, I do not like the idea of an AUR respec option. For the insidious company, it favors them greatly changing the game constantly not for balance but to wrestle the dollars from those that are suddenly in an inferior position. From a game design perspective, I don't like the ideas of your choices being so impermanent for a game that sells itself as being persistent experience point based. |

Mag offers the option to respec skill points after accumulating a certian amount of points, and it becomes increasingly more difficult each time. The aur concept was just to adhere to the buisness aspect that every company follows. I think that this would allow people to try new weapons or vehicles types, creating a more diverse battlefield. Just an idea though im not really pushing for it. |

Not really, everybody would be running the weapon/tank/dropship for this expansion changing everything instantly when the next nerf/buff hammer hits. You can't balance for that.... |
