Reach back, waaay back and recall the first game that stole your life and adversely affected your relationships.
Me, Ultima 4. I actually played it for 19 hours straight, in someone else's dorm room, while they slept. |

gaming nostalgia runs thick through my veins.
might sound stupid one of my first gaming all-nighters was spent playing Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles multiplayer. the one on gamecube where you hooked up your GameBoy Advance and used it as a controller. so epic! one of many though... |

LOL! You ain't Old timers.
You are all just young rookies compared to me.
I've been playing video games since the very first one came out., Pong in the 70's. Heck the very first FPS consisted of pointing an infrared gun at the TV and trying to shoot a square dot that bounced around like a Windows screensaver.
Best game... Adventure for the Atari 2600, now that was RPG at it's finest...in 1980. :D

We had a Pong home console with the spindly wires connected to the "one dial, one button" controllers. Drove my Dad ape that it used a perfectly good TV for something other than the news and Hee Haw. |

My dad was extremely strict about not letting me play video games, then one year my mom bought me a PS1 and FF7 for my birthday. I locked myself in my room and put a blanket over the window and lost track of time for days >_< |

My dad being the money conscious (cheapskate) person he was, bought an off-brand version of the Pong game. But it came with a plastic gun that looked like a revolver. I think that's why he bought it,. he spent more time playing it than I did. Ha! |

The first game that stole my life, way back in the early 80's when i was in my early teens, was the mega space game ELITE on the BBC micro.
I have fond memories of being Commander Jameson and shouting ' Oh God not the Thargoids again'
That was a proper space game, the likes of which havent been seen since |
