We got a lot of eve players here. Some FPS gamers too, but from what I've seen most playing this game have played eve. Some of you if you have played FPS before are a bit rusty, or if you never played a FPS just plain suck at it.
It probably seems daunting at having come out of instant academy to go up against skilled players. let alone skilled FPS Players.
There are common rules tho that almost everyone follows.
1) Long range = scope. seriously. If your cant run up to them in 1sec. Then you should be hip firing. scoping against a good dodger is no win for you.
2) Look at the feet but aim at the head when hip firing. tracking your enemy movement is a must. don't focus on his head. focus on legs. but your aim should be at upper body or head. Hold and don't tap. unless you have TAC.
3) RELOAD OFTEN. No, don't wait till your gun is empty to reload. Have a feel for your weapon. You should be just shy of two bullets, before you reload. This adds to you firing longer while you enemy struggles to reload.
4) run empty? Switch to your side. If "click" click" happens.. don't rweload! You should reloaded sooner. oh well, switch first. when you see him break and try to take cover, switch back and reload.
5) SHOT GUNNERS. Forward and shoot. shooting while moving left or right will miss more often then not. shot guns got the hate of this build. but it means you have to take your shot more carefully. don't sight aim dammit.
6) Lucky grenades kills should be considered lucky. Don't go in trying to kill them with nade. your trying to smoke em out, to your gun. splash damage is a bonus. him moving back to nade cause of your firing is a plus.
7) If you want to kill with nade, than cook the damn thing. And I mean cook it. you throw that crap at me and I'm running towards you dead on and pissed with my shotty. I have complex shield extenders and rechargers. I need one shot, how about you?
8) cover. don't be a shame to use tricks to win. "luring" and fishing is fine. trapping and shielding (using weaker enmey to shield you from stronger enemy) is fine. |

Heh. Most of my fps games, I play is for PC. and horror games. very hard to come by on consoles. I've been playing FPS since before first unreal tournament. 80% of games I play are FPS. Everything else on PC is what I call NERD FODDER. |
