On top of that, i feel they always needed help from FA, and they relied on the FA crutch HEAVILY.
FA was a scary team, that literally popped out of nowhere. I can honestly say that when FA popped up, they had a literal group of randoms
It did take 3 weeks, but there was so much raw talent
We did lol.
3/4 of our teams were completely new to PC and that's why we was able to market FA as THE ideal 'indy' corp...I literally willed that label into relevance for dust by contrasting corps like OH and ERA that recruited a bunch of slayers from other corps on these very forums...while FA's mission was always to avoid the cycle of corps being demolished and then merging with some other team to become stronger by drawing on untapped potential slayers that were languishing in pubs...and we succeeded. Jenova, Dwater, and many many more went from being pub stars to PC stars.
We built the only corp to seriously challenge AE.
And honestly...my recipe for locating 'unknown talent', the work I did to foster sentiments for 'indy' corps (you know how many corps started recruiting using that line after I popularized it!?) along with the culture himi, tba, and I weaved into the fibers of FA is literally my magnum opus on Dust.
But even beyond this...the fact we have managed to successfully transition FA into other games as a dominant force is an accomplishment I'm super proud of...which I do have to give mad props to OH for.
It's not a given that your family on dust will transition...and the fact that some of the corps have successfully is impressive.
Admittedly, all of these accomplishments will pale in comparison to my most ambitious projects long term...to build a real life tech startup drawing on people from FA/Dust and ideally someday using the history of PC as the basis of some sort of book.
It's insane to me that these projects are even something that a few of us are entertaining and I am applying my efforts to actualize.
Proving you can use video games as tools to network in real life is something that I would never have considered, but the fact is, preliminarily, I'm satisfied it can be done.
I'm massively tangenting, feel free to troll me. :P
