I'll give you some advice:
1. Read all the text in game.
2. Read through the "rookie training ground" section of this forum.
3. Join a corp that is willing to help you out with training.
4. Be creative/make your own decisions, that is one best qualities that this game offers, and it's only going to get more complex. |

I did all that and I still didnt get the basics I wanted answered. What suit and skills are common to use is all I want. |

IIRC, they all start pretty much the same way, it is just a matter of how you customize them. It has been forever since I started so I don't really remember the beginning parts. |

No you want someone to give you a simple answer based on they're level of intelligence/experience without giving anything in return, in a game where the greates advantage over an opponent is is personal cunning and creativness. Why would I simply give this away for free?
By the corp name displayed beneath your picture on the left there, I can tell that you have already lied to me once, who knows what else you've lied about. I dont like being lied to.
Join a corp that is willing to give you training. Try Dust University. Go post your question in the rookie training ground.
You should feel lucky that I didn't decide to just blow smoke up your @$$ and steer you off in entirely the wrong direction. |

500,000 SP ALT Stater rig
Militia Heavy Suit Militia Light Weapon Damage Mod Militia Armor Repair Mod Militia Grenade Militia SMG GEK 38 AR (basically sink your few starting SP to get to level 4 AR operation could also use GLU)
The suit will keep alive and be self sustaining with 400 shields/300 armor with no skill point needed. The GEK/GLU will drop most others.
If you a halfway decent gun game you should be able to keep at least 6/1 kdr in the newbie academy, if your decent at driving freebie LAV's 12/1

Wait what? I lied to you? Im not sure I follow but ok. Or because its a video game you could just give me a basic cookie cutter build everyone else is using instead of pretending you have trade secrets. |

Thanks man but one question. One reason I wanted out of my HMG build was I thought it was too slow. Is every heavy as slow? I thought I would have to switch to an assault suit? Im confuzzled. |

Advanced medium frame, and advanced AR/Tac AR.
You need to decide on racial stuff. Gallente was my pick. Damage mods, armour reps, 1-2 plates. Caldari seem to be 10000000 complex shield extenders, and as much ammo as you can carry. |

Well your turn speed is faster once you drop your HMG but yes it's not a bunny hopping outfit but it will kill well. If this is the same Boogerisking from mag imagine using a tansem with 12 armor but doing it at level 4 |

I would say just for basics, start with the basic caldari medium suit, it has nice shields to begin with and keeps reasonable mobility.
Then spec into the TAC or the Burst and have fun!
Keep at range and pick off anyone that you see. From there spec as you please. Do you want more speed, even more shield or maybe you want armor instead..... |
