Let me try... why are games different than others, when we can make all the same, and make CoD their Mother. ] Yes I want to turn this game into COD, I hate fanboys.
Nothing said hints to anything thus far being "Fanboy" orientated. Your initial post was that of a whiny person that is used to CoD or even perhaps Battlefield. Dust is a DIFERENT game. The fact that people point out flaws in your logic doesn't mean they are "Fanboys". You haven't played long enough to adapt your own playstyle to the game. To add to this you don't "Have to always spawn in the Ship.." You can spawn on the ground as well, and use drop links once on the field. If you don't know this yet, then you should try a different game. The reason the distance is so far on some maps is:
A: To emphasise Team work in battle by utelizing vehicles
B: Depending on which side you are one side is closer (Usually the DEFENDING Team, and usually Pirate Factions when Attacking since they launch Suprise Attacks) to the core of the map
I for one agree with you that I feel like my Minmatar Suits (who, if you follow EVE mechanics and lore, should be the fastest on the field) are trodging through sludge when I sprint. Even the stats show them as the fastest suits (by 0.3 on the base sprint speed for mediums). But still they feel slow and sluggish when compared to the last build. That being said, it still isn't something I can't adapt to, and I suck at FPS games. I think my K/D is something like .02 lol. But I still play cuz it's fun.
Now, if it's not fun for you, go back to CoD, Battlefield, or some other FPS game you do enjoy, just don't whine or complain about nonsense in a game that you haven't put the time in to understand. |

Are you in a fatsuit/Heavy?
*shrugs*
As for you saying you want to turn this into COD yet in the same breath claiming you hate fanboys, the irony has truly made me smile. We must be playing different games. My scout suit loses about half it's HP any time I fall more than about 5 feet. Basically, if you jump into the air and land at an elevation ANY lower than where you jumped from, you take a significant amount of damage... most of the time.
If you are Shield tanking.... I can see your conundrum.
HOWEVER, IF you're Shield Tanking CORRECTLY.... I don't see any problem at all. |
