This is completely retarded they favor those who actively browse the forums and people whom do not get banned from the forums, you're effectively limiting the people in this event to 1/10 of the entire playerbase. get your **** together CCP. |

Seems even worse that they're apparently only picking 200 people to participate in the event as Templars.
For the arguments sake lets assume an average server population of 6000 at any given time. Now in an ideal world that gives you what... a little over a 3% chance of running into someone?
And that's in an ideal world. There's not going to be an even distribution of Templars across time zones and they're not all going to be playing 24/7. |

They did just add a news tab in the login screen. Maybe events will be announced there as well? |

they give people 6 days notice.. if you don't check the forum once a week well its lose to have hear it all second hand about events. theres already 480 replies. |

They are treating the community fairly. To everyone who got banned, they had a fair opportunity like the rest of us to not get banned. And also this event is on the front page of the website, everyone who plays the game has a fair chance to visit the website. If they don't care enough about the game to check out the website then that's their loss. And again, "hardcore" was for lack of a better word. |

The forums are a great way to get the message out. They are talking about special characters here. Actually put a character on our account to do this. This has to be manually done by a Dev team member. Basically this is a super special event and not a "open" event to be posted in the game.

I don't see the issue here, would you rather they randomaly selected people? this way only people who WANT to be involved will be involved, we take the time to go on the forums to see whats going on with the game we like, thus showing more interest than others. CCP is doing the smart thing and are "treating" the people who are really interested in Dust. |

Well I first saw the news about the event from the Dust Facebook thing. Plus they tweeted about it. And there'll probably also be an email. Some kind of news or announcements thing in game would be nice. But the game does tell you about the forums when you log in.
All I'm saying is that it's not the super secret forum event you claim it to be. Besides, most of us will get in game and tell our corpmates and talk about it in local. It's fine. Relax. Really. |

The SP we "started out with" could of been got by anybody. sure they game released "officially" released on May 14th, but it really came out in January. Anybody could of downloaded it and started playing then if they wanted to. Has nothing to do with checking the website or forums. But we started out with 500,000 SP like everyone else. It's just as illogical of an argument as people who start 4 months from now complaining they don't have as much SP as people who start now. |

To be honest, if you are truly interested in this game, you kinda have to go on the forums. Corp related stuff... etc.
But it would be nice to maybe have a quick post on the game telling people about it and to come on the forums for more information.
Also, if you get banned on the forums, that is your own problem.

I don't usually browse the forums, you can tell by the number of likes received and number of posts, and I saw about the event cause is posted on the frontpage of the site. If someone is interested in a game they should check the official website at least once a day. Plus, the game has a news page now, should be something about the event on the launcher... |
