which weapon is easiest to use? i let my friend play on my account when he comes over and i want to what the easiest weapon to use is because he isnt that good at most of the weapons. |

The Assault Rifle would be your best bet, since everyone that has ever played a FPS has some experience with a similar gun. |

Sniper is decent too. Stay in the back, be patient, get some kills. Less frantic that going Assault. |

actually, it's the assault scrambler rifle. The larger clip and slower rate of fire means he has a longer time to try to hit something, and the sights being a red dot sight type makes it easy to acquire targets and track them when ADS.
Once you put points into SMG's they are a lot of fun to run and gun with, the perfect pray and spray.
Caldari suits are probably the easiest to run with too, since they have armor as a survival buffer. Tell your friend to RUN when his shield get low and he'll be fine. |

I would say the HMG is pretty easy to use once you know the range limitations and how it kicks/operates/overheats/disperses. If the OP does want to try out the HMG, I would suggest the Assault Variant for 10m longer range.
HMG is not as easy to master as an AR, but not as difficult as say a Mass Driver, Flaylock Pistol or Laser Rifle in my opinion. |

A lot of people say the Assault Rifle, but I disagree. I've always found the Scrambler Rifle more fun and generally more easy to use. Someone mentioned why it was easier earlier. I just think it's easier because of 1) The sights are much better than Iron Sights... 2) I can't shoot with an AR for crap. Scrambler Rifle is probably the only weapon I use that doesn't involve me mastering a skill. I find it kind of funny that the only weapons I use, are things that a lot of people dislike because they can't use it correctly...
But that AR man... Hardest crap to aim, EVAR. Just make an excuse for yourself saying, "I'm too good for it." and you'll be fine. :D |

I just started this game a few days ago. I have always loved Machine guns in FPS and I have been finding the HMG easy to use so far. Close range nothing melts the enemy faster.
Thank you for pointing out that range limit though, used to MGs in other games being able to fire long distances, in CoDBO2 I can snipe with my LSAT. Now I know why my HMG never seems to hit anything at range.
What should I use as a side arm? What of the 4 can hit at longer range?
And so far I have had no trouble useing my LAV to get right to the enemy.
P.S., this does not really count as a weapon but the front bumper of a LAV is the easiest and funnest to use.

+1 to the HMG / LMG comment above. I have an overkill Lsat/ riot shield class that makes people rage quit on carrier, raid, and a few other maps if used correctly. Easy anti-sniper class.
Back on topic;
Can you spec into an HMG out of the gate in dust? I'm guessing you will basically have nothing else. But with the original 500k can you get into an HMG?
Looks like I'm going to have to fire up a third alt and try. |

Assault Rifle is a good all around weapon and it doesn't require much skill.
Submachine gun is pretty good as well.
HMG can be hard because you have to fit it on a heavy suit (and those require a special play style) |

I've started using the Scrambler Rifle and feel it has some advantages over the AR as far as "ease" of use goes, though probably not in a manner everyone else would use it for.
Projectile speeds in this game feel a bit sluggish for me so I always end up under-leading on my shots with the AR and can't tell how far off I am. With the scrambler I see the beam and have a lot more luck adjusting over distances to land shots, also the semi-auto nature kinda promotes properly placing your shots rather than using the AR for spray and pray. The overheating is a real drag though of course if you're not careful. |

You can go up to lvl 3 in hmg and just ran militia heavy suits on an alt |

LAV and HMG is very good combination you run in too group of red dots jump off and just melt them whit HMG |

AR/SMG combo is a good starter. Be sure to switch to the SMG in close quarters or when you take someone down to armor. ARS only deal 90% of their damage against armor and the SMG has a very forgiving spread at close range. |
