Alright so last night was my first experience in Dust. Frankly it was really confusing to me. I went into skirmishes not really knowing what I should be doing.
Being a former World of Warcraft & Black Ops type gamer, this game threw me for a loop. My initial thoughts, not knocking the game were that, itGÇÖs kind of bland that you are basically in the same room the entire time outside of combat. (The game was free so IGÇÖm not really complaining).
Skill building is a whole different beast in this game compared the others I mentioned for sure. Frankly, got no clue what IGÇÖm doing here ha. I think my first step frankly, needs to be to join a Corp with some knowledge and experience. Anyone got anything like that?
Secondly this is really the important question. When it comes to building a character and choosing skill books, what do I want to do first? I would like to become a sniper but is there a race that is ideal for that? I read that races have basically no effect on the game but then I also see specific suits that seem to be GÇÿrace orientedGÇÖ and IGÇÖve read some things that suggest that there is benefit to choosing certain races.
Some skill building and battle guidance is greatly appreciated. |

Thank you Arram, I made the mistake of using some of my SP last night in a 'shotfew in the dark' sort of way so when I play next I'm gonna terminate and recreate. Start over more or less and then Ill look up that faction you suggested.
When I am in the academy, can I.choose which game type I am entering? |

I put in a ticket to respec. I just need to make sure I get it right this time lol. Despite my desire to be a sniper is it easier to 'be'pass something else starting out? Or should I just up all out sniper mode and learn? |
