Everything that fires a missile right now is difficult to use due to the very low speed that pretty much every missile type weapon in the game has right now. The flaylock pistol feels like a dart gun as the missiles take almost a full second after pulling the trigger before they even seem to move. The missile launcher for LAVs are nearly impossible to use as the LAV actually outruns the missile causing the missile to explode when the LAV catches up to and impacts with it.
Don't believe me, try it. Get into an LAV with your friend running full speed and try to fire a missile. Even if you manage to get one to not explode instantly the accuracy of missiles now is a joke and combined with the broken splash damage mechanics they are useless. |

I think the sensations you are feeling with missiles are called "latency issues". |

No, the missiles are ridiculously slow.
When your anti-vehicle missile can't accelerate faster than a vehicle something is broken. Dropships can literally outrun swarms right now, I've experienced it many times, and frankly, it's ********. I know DS pilots have a hard time and need some love in terms of survivability but at least let us hit them. Even with LAVs there's issues, by the time you have locked your swarm launcher, fired, and then your swarm adjust themselves it takes a couple of seconds by which point they're already half way out of sight, the missiles take far too long to reach their target. |

Dropships need to be able to outrun missiles until they get Chaff/Flares. At that point Swarm launchers can get faster moving missiles, imo (they move plenty quickly to hit tanks and LAVs, LAVs mainly due to the suspension problems they have causing them to flip over if they see a rock) |

I disagree. Dropships need every advantage right now. Also, this way it adds more depth to gameplay bc u have to wait for them to either be crossing or inbound to your position before you fire. as for small and large missiles, they def need speed boost bc they go slower than any vehicle does...except tanks...cuz tanks are slow as hell. Buff speed AND blast radius on all turret missiles. |

while I would say don't speed up the SL mounted missiles launchers are slow for being dumbfire and do tend to have animation errors with damage mods as they increase RoF and the large missiles in general need to be reworked a bit to be effective. |

I think dropships should be given something and SL as well. It is a simple concept that seems quite logical. Make the missiles build speed rapidly to be faster than any DS or LAV, but only build speed after the initial tracking kicks in the get them on target. Once speed builds up reduce their tracking ability proportionally until they have almost no tracking at full speed, making them dodgeable by most decent pilots. |

You're not talking tracking, you're talking turn rate. However, keeping the turn rate the same will give the impression of slower turning as the arc will widen in proportion with the higher speeds. |

It's a lucky day when a missile fired from a small turret on a moving vehicle hits where the reticle is. |
