With the respec coming within the week, I thought this would be a good opportunity for the community to come together and discuss the viability of our weapons. This hopefully will help new players and respec users make optimal choices; there will be no more respecs in the near future, so if you skill into something you are stuck with it. This is NOT a QQ thread, and I don't want it to become one.

Standard and Breach MD should be B-Tier and the Assault variant needs to be C or D-tier. Nova knives should be S or A-Tier if you're ranking the shotgun B-Tier. |

You seem to be missing the standard scrambler rifle. I propose B tier for that.
I think the mass drivers are fine where they are. I'm not convinced fluxes should be S tier. |

Kova Knives are a hit or a miss. If your opponent sees you coming, you're at a huge disadvantage, it's too situational for A-Tier. Assault is the best MD in the game right now. If more people agree, I'd move Standard to B-Tier. Breach is not really that good, unless the forum disagrees.

Thanks for the catch. Flux Nade was probably the hardest to decide on, but I bumped it up to S Tier because its really effective on tanks or Infantry. Even if you're grazed by it, Infantry shields are going down, and Flux Nade alone will probably be enough to send any tanker momentarily retreating, even if you don't have something else to damage them.

The Carthum and Imperial SCRs should be A tier.
Most everyone in this game shield tanks. I can deplete shields in two to three hits and then I only have their very low armor HP to blast through. |

I agree with most of the weapon tier placement.
However, I believe Heavy Machine gun should be bumped to B-tier (similar to Nova Knifes, as they can be great in similar tight spots). Assault HMG might be tier A or B. Burst HMG is probably tier D, as never seen it used effectively. Plasma Cannon has it's uses and see some success, so move that one tier up, to C at least. Also you missed Prom Mines (Tier C or B?).
Anyways, just my thoughts. May not reflect reality ;D |

If by everyone you mean Calogibros and scouts, then yes, but against anyone else, you will have a frustrating time depleting that armor unless you charge shoot them. Scrambler also has range issues for a light weapon. I suppose you could switch to the Submachine once you deplete the shield, but you might as well be using Flux + anything else for that. They do make good support weapons in optimal range, but then again, so is the Assault Mass Driver. |

I dont get the obsession over flux nades. Its not like most players have a ton more than 600 health. The flux will always leave players alive which is an issue. I honestly dont think ive ever seen anyone get hit my my m1 locus nade and still have shields left.
So what is the advantage to flux?
And I think you need to move the scrambler rifle to A teir. The only reason it isnt the OP weapon of the build is because the TAR outshines it in range. But beyond that, its similar in every way and has a better scope, and has a the fancy charge shot. If it also had sharpshooter to reduce dispersion it would probably be right there with the TAR despite the range limitation. |

They obliterate shields on infantry, vehicles, instillations, and fry any enemy equipment. |

Like I said, I cant think of 1 infantry that has ever walked away from a locus nade with any shield left. Heavies walk away with armor, but they would with flux too.
Equipment? Ok, I guess thats nice, didnt realize it did that.
But vehicles? AV nades do it much better. Good luck hitting a vehical that is moving with a flux nade.
And destroying installation shields doesnt seem very useful to me, but maybe others would find that useful? |
