Just wondering what you guys would prefer.
Or of course, a mix of both. |

A bit of both, but probably leaning towards the splash. Core Flaylocks are currently better Mass Drivers than actual Mass Drivers. |

Splash. I love making people get mad at me. Then again, when i try to switch to my repair tool too fast, I end up shooting instead and causing to hurt myself but is only if the splash is too high. |

TL;DR: Splash.
The smaller the splash area goes, the less the effective range of the weapon. As it is, I feel comfortable with the MD up to about 20-25m out, but I had a better chance of distance farther out in Chromosome. Now, to get much farther, aim has to be near perfect due to small splash radius.
Furthermore, I have to hit them with the flux first if they are shield tanked. I have no problem with the flux mechanic by the way, it's completely fair that this weapon is lackluster against a shield tank. It's why I prefer the splash bonus rather than damage bonus. If you are shield tanked, and I am out of fluxes... well, see you after my respawn unless I score a direct hit or two .
Right now, I am using the MD as a shotgun with much less damage but more forgiving range. Almost always requires a flux except against scouts/lights. I rarely use it for area suppression anymore . |

i'm gonna go a different direction on this. What I really want is.... Smoke! Give me the old smoke effect back. It would help me tell where I had hit when attempting a long range shot and was helpful in suppressing the enemy.
If they do that as well as fix the bugs having to do with splash damage, which devs have already confirmed exist, then I will be happy. I don't particularly need a stat buff. |

Mass drivers are not worth getting stuck on using, PC has friendly fire and i hope they go across the board with. Take no skill to shot a few grenade in a area to kiil a guy. |

fully automatic. But with a sensor that prevents firing if I'm pointing at a wall that will kill me if I fire. I always am killing myself because teammates or walls just jump in front of me. They have to make those things move less. |

I dont want to see any changes until the server sync issues are fixed. Im finding their current iteration works very well in PC the tight radius isnt too restrictive to be a crowd control weapon, it still requires a user to properly aim and lead their shots without giving them the ability to get careless and not even try to place shots at higher ends.
Remember proficiency adds up to s 15% damage bump i can unequivocally say that at proficiency 5 in chromosome and just 1 let alone 2 complex dmg mods made them nukes that overcame the shield dmg reduction and could kill full protos in 2 hits easy if you could aim it and i know they werent direct hits.
MD is a crowd control weapon for defensive players, its use as an offensive weapon needs to be limited as a support weapon and cant be a standalone weapon if it becomes that, it goes beyond its intended balance.
This is coming from a MD enthusiast who considers them to be the most skilled weapon in the game, and it was waaaaay to easy to use in chromosome. |

Oh look, another TAC AR user who doesn't know what he's talking about.
Splash please, you can't deny anything with the MD anymore, the closest you can get is Boundless Assault with damage mods. |

To the OP: How about more ammo, and leave the damage as-is. I like the balance of the MD against other weapon styles I play, I just wish for more ammo. |
