I was under the impression that this would give dropships more speed. I've been having trouble getting the dropship to move forward to no avail. Would this enable the dropship to move a little more further? I read in some of the threads that this skill really does nothing. But these threads were months ago, so I don't know whether or not CCP fixed it. What's the update on it?

The skill unlocks modules you can put on your vessel to alter the torque (low slots), or provide a temporary speed boost (high slots)

Think of the drop ship like a bladed aircraft (EG helicopter)
Tilting down while thrusting pushes you forward.

I see, thanks. What about moving the dropship forward? Keep its nose slightly down while I throttle?

That how to do it, however a new flight mechanic introduced with uprising means that once you reach a certain level of momentum the engines tilt till their horizontal and the dropship handles more like a fixed wing aircraft then a helicopter. A real life example would be the osprey(that's the one I think, please correct me if I'm wrong).

I don't understand. Tilting? You mean like, press down/right at the same time to make it tilt and it'll go forward?

This is still difficult to understand. The only thing I can do at this point is to just practice. Since the others have already brought up control changes for aerial vehicles in the feedback/requests, there's no need for me to file a complaint. The controls right now may be terrible, but it won't be so terrible if I keep practicing it. I wonder if the higher tier dropships would manage better. I haven't branched it out that farther yet.
