We don't hear a hell of a lot about Faction Warfare on the Dust514 side but it seems the battles in the mercenary tab are always getting filled up, so stuff must be happening, right?
Does anyone keep a close eye on the shifting of faction ownership of systems? Have there been any noticeable changes? Are we having any impact at all? |

I don't think FW actually affects anything in EVE. |

Our FW battles are supposed to be making it easier for EvE players to flip faction ownership but little has been given on the details of how much influence it makes.
It would be really good if there was some easy to understand display of the effect that has been achieved at the end of each battle. |

I too would love to know how impressed our ship-flying cousins are with our ground-based efforts! |

You can see on the map under the faction warfare tab who owns which district. Winning a battle in FW will change the ownership from one side to the other and the total percentage of districts owned within a system affects the victory points required for system capture in EVE. You can see what this looks like in EVE on this page:

The amarr have made a noticeable come back in a number of areas and if u win the district it makes it easer to capture the whole system :-)

Yes we have. I'm currently in FW for Amarr. We had plexed Gulmorogod until it was vulnerable. We then moved on to surrounding systems to wait for our fleet to form to bash the Ihub. In about an hour time the minmatar dust players had won a numbers of battles in Gul taking the system from 100% contested to 90% or so. |

What I want to hear from Team True Grit, is whether the spawn mechanic is still working as intended.
My understanding is that, if the spawning is random, does it get increasingly more difficult to take a whole planet in FW?
If there are 10 districts, when a district opens for battle it seems to pick randomly among districts. So if there are 5 minmatar and 5 amarr districts you have a 50% chance of being an attacker. If you are fighting for Minmatar, and you have 9 of 10 districts, you only have a 10% chance of getting that last district. |

This is just off the top of my head so i may not be 100% accurate on the numbers. Basicly once a system is captured by the Amarr faction the Minmatar faction has 0-3000 points in said system. Minmatar need to get 3000 points to make the system vulnerable. EVE players get points by capturing complexes in the system. Complexes have a random spawn rate so you cant just bring a fleet in and chain run them all in a few hours normally it takes a few days to flip a system even if it is undefended. Each battle that is won in system buy dust players fighting for the Minmatar faction takes a % off that 3000 points that the EVE players need to get to flip the system. On the flip side of this for every battle that the Amarr faction Dust players win in system adds a % to the 3000 needed to capture the system.
Like i stated in my previous post we had a system up to 3000-3000 pionts then the opposing factions mercs won a bunch of battles and when we came back we where at 3000-3250. So now we needed 250 more points to make the system vulnerable. This may not seem like alot but given the RNG of plexes spawning this can give plenty of time for a defence fleet to be formed and |

HA!HA! Die, you slaving Amarr scum! I'm glad my efforts for the Minmatar have not gone unnoticed.
...but aside from that, thanks ap0ne one, for the explanation :) |
